From carrot cake and chocolate cookies to madeleines and muffins; in this ultimate bible, Karolina has veganised old baking favourites as well as creating new baking recipes to make vegan baking accessible and fun to the novice baker. Over 10 years of hard work and trial-and-error, the talented Karolina Tegelaar has created the ultimate vegan baking book – a must-have for every baking-enthusiast’s kitchen. With this book, you’ll never again have to make compromises on flavour, texture and design when baking vegan. Packed with hundreds of tips, techniques and troubleshooting advice, The Vegan Baking Bible includes everything from cakes, muffins, meringues, biscuits, cookies, brownies, gingerbread, ice cream and even a whole section on yeasted doughs and pastries so you can make bagels, doughnuts and pain au chocolat, too. With The Vegan Baking Bible by your side, you’ll never stop saying, ‘I can’t believe it’s vegan!’. I've learned so much about baking from the introduction and the helpful guides about everything from tin types to how to pipe icing. Every recipe has turned out incredible results. The Citrus Cake was off-the-charts good (with a lemon-lime glaze), the Clementine Cake was freaking like eating the sun (I had to use mandarins), and the pumpkin muffins were moist and delicious. I tried my hand at piping a Christmas tree shape on those and the icing turned out lovely. I don't think you need to be vegan to love this book, but you do have to be willing to try a flax egg or use aquafaba. Many recipes use vegan yogurt, which is sometimes hard to find. Whole Foods often has a selection. Anyway, this book is money well spent. Review: Gorgeous and Foolproof - BEAUTIFUL book! This book has done all of the leg work for you. The recipes are foolproof and the photos are lovely. If you are serious about vegan baking, but are a novice, you will have no problem using this book...5 stars!

The BEST
I have been baking vegan for years and these are hands down the best recipes. I have made more than a dozen of them and not one has let me down. They consistently turn out great. I don’t bake using any other recipes anymore and I recommend this book to everyone. Tips: You must have a scale (the only way to bake anyway!). Her recipes are smaller than traditional American recipes so I purchased smaller cake tins and bunt pans for them.

Lots of information
This book is truly like a textbook. It’s packed with details to help you understand how to bake without animal products. The only criticism I have is the choice to put black type on a navy blue or dark background for some of the side notes. It’s very difficult to read, especially as the font size is small.

My favorite cookbook
I had to give up dairy recently and was quite upset about how that would affect my love of baking. I bought this book and I honestly prefer it to my old recipes. So does my family. My little sister recently told me that she doesn’t like muffins. She tried the ones I made using one of the base muffin recipes in this book (and adding raspberries and orange zest), and then proceeded to eat multiple muffins each day until they were gone. 🤣 Everything I’ve made out of this cookbook has been delicious. Every cake, muffin, or quickbread has been super soft and moist. Two of my favorite are the Clementine Cake and Tosca Cake. My family loved them. I like that she uses ingredients I regularly have on hand. No need to hunt down a flaxseed source or whatever. Most recipes use aquafaba as an egg replacement which is super easy since I always have a can of chickpeas around. Plus, every time I need aquafaba for a recipe I get to throw together some crispy roast chickpeas to snack on. I also like that she often has multiple versions of main recipes. There are 3 or 4 different versions of apple cake, for example, and multiple versions of her base muffin recipe. I feel like I’ve learned a lot reading these recipes, the accompanying explanation, and then baking them. You start to understand how individual ingredients and techniques affect the overall recipe. Finally, the author has a good blend of recipes from all over the world, not just Sweden where she is from. For example, there’s american pancakes, Swedish pancakes,an Australia version, and a few more types of pancakes from around the world. I’m American and I find that she has a recipe for a lot of our classic foods, but I am also enjoying learning about Swedish cookies, etc. I highly recommend this cookbook.

Great book if you have a food scale
Measurements are in grams, ml, etc., and for people who use american measurements the conversions can get a little tiring unless you have a food scale. However, this is a fantastic book and has improved my baking ability more than any other book I've used in the past. The quality of the recipes that I have tried so far = top notch. Her explanations as to the "why" in baking certain things certain ways is unparalleled. Great illustrations, recipes, etc.

FINALLY in English!
I have most of Karolina Tegelaar's vegan baking books apart from the very first ones which are not available anywhere any more. But i have to say that this is her masterpiece. *Everything* you ever wanted to know about vegan baking in one volume! Most helpful of all are all the comparison pictures - like "how does a cake look both outside and inside when using different liquids" or "how do the differently whipped aquafaba types look like with the exact same whisks for comparison " as just two examples of many. SO much helpful tips for any type of batter, filling or decoration. I am so happy that the English version is as good as the Swedish one which I have had for years. I have already used some half an hour now to check all the favorites in the Kindle version I just bought. With a huge grin on my face. I will buy lots of hardbacks and give as gifts so all friends and relatives all over the world which do not speak Swedish once the hardback version is out too. If more of them had some kind of Kindle too I would instantly recommend them to buy util then.

Molto noto ma difficile
Un po' troppo pieno di ingredienti complicati e a volte introvabili in Italia.

Brilliant!
I have been vegan for several years, but only recently started baking because I don't have a particularly sweet tooth, and didn't bake much when I was vegetarian. However, I somehow managed to rustle up a few semi decent bakes for a work-do, and then for the the local retired folks' tea and coffee morning, and now I'm apparently the local vegan baker! Except I'm not! I feel this book will be my saviour! Karolina explains the science behind vegan baking, as well as providing plenty of excellent recipes to get me going. I haven't actually made anything yet, but it's a lovely book, photos are terrific, and the explanations are spot on.

What a brilliant book!
I've been baking for a few years now, but I'm eager to delve into vegan cakes and cookies. I find this book extremely helpful and simply amazing to have.

Far and away exceeded expectations
This is literally the best book I have ever purchased. I do not have sufficient superlatives to describe how blown away and in love with this book I am. I was expecting just another helpful vegan baking book to give me ideas. But it really is as the title says ‘The Vegan Baking Bible’. It’s a book to study, to use as a reference, a book to love. As a vegan, I’m over the moon to have a book of this standard. Thank you to the author for the incredible amount of work and effort that has gone into creating this book and thank you for sharing your vast knowledge and experience. Again, my most favourite book purchase in decades of buying books. Thank you.
