Works great!
I purchased this for my outdoor fish pond. I was having trouble keeping the water clean so I purchased a rain barrel that looked like a wiskey barrell to filter the water through and added pebbles, rocks and this medium on top. It’s spring now and I don’t have any live plants yet because of the dangers of frost but the water is pretty clear compared to years in the past.

Good product, well made, lasts for years
Like this because of them length, and I can cut a new piece each year. This will definitely last a while, good filter. Might have to go with one a little thicker next time but this one is really collecting the algae and keeping my pump free of junk. The UV light really is the one that improves water quality, but this is a helper as well.

Works like a charm.
This stuff works great. I used it to make my own pond filter out of a 5 gallon bucket. I wrapped it around the bucket and used 4 foot long zip ties to secure it to the bucket. After watering for several weeks we have seen only very clean water come from the filter. Our pond is just a dugout pond in the dirt so we have had problems in the past with way too much dirt and plant matter coming into the pump and causing problems in the pump and at the sprinklers. We did one clean out the first time we altered this season and haven’t had a si for problem since.
