SOL DE JANEIRO Collagen Boosting Beija Flor Elasti-Cream Body Cream

I really love when Sol de Janeiro makes the collectible jumbo creams with vivid limited edition designs (and the little surfboard scoop). I always buy the ones with bird designs on them, and Beija Flor always has a hummingbird motif, which I love. The Biggie Biggie size is a fantastic value, especially if you get it during one of the frequent sales or with a coupon on Amazon. Beija Flor is the same scent as Cheirosa 68, which is a dreamy, tropical, pink, fruity-floral and creamy vanilla with undertones of brisk ocean air that's crisp and mineral. It really makes me feel like I'm on a beach in a tropical location, lounging near tropical flowers and fruit trees, listening to the crashing of ocean waves. Some people say that this smells like Baccarat Rouge 540, but I really dislike BR540 and love Beija Flor, so I don't really get the comparison. They don't even share any of the same notes, except for jasmine. The texture of this cream is thick, but it smooths over skin easily and is deeply moisturizing. It's not super oily or heavy, so I can get dressed a few minutes after applying, though the scent still transfers everywhere. I wish that Sol de Janeiro made body butters with half the concentration of fragrance. As much as I love Cheirosa 68, the fragrance gets really overwhelming when it's applied over your entire body, and it'll last 24 hours with noticeable sillage before I shower it off. The fragrance in the body creams is stronger than in the matching body mists. On days when my head is hurting, I can't use this at all because the scent gets so overpowering. And that's a shame because I really love the formula of the body butter itself. It has cacay oil (a gentle retinol alternative) and plant collagen, which are great for maintaining elasticity and tone over time, along with lots of butters and oils that manage to not feel heavy or greasy. I just have to be in the mood for the strong fragrance to stay with me until I wash it off.

Wow I smell delicious!! Such a beautiful, light, soft fragrance that mellows down to almost a vanilla jasmine-y scent. Hydrates even my chemotherapy- parched skin, leaving me smooth and soft. Love love love!

This stuff is amazing! The first time I put it on, I was unsure. It smells amazing, but it doesn't have that "lotiony" feel to it, so I didn't think it would provide that much moisture. Wrong! I have observed a noticeable change in how my skins feels, and I LOVE that it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy or tacky. A little bit of this goes a long way, but being pregnant right now, I do apply it pretty generously over my belly when I get out of the shower, and the moisture and softness truly lasts until my next shower. It is definitely on the pricey side, but like they say....you get what you pay for. I don't typically spend this much money on products, but this jar will last for a long time and was well worth the splurge!

This is my 1st purchase of the Sol De Janeiro Collagen Boosting Body Creme ! The container is a bit small for the price but it’s nice and thick a little goes a long way! I’ll be definitely purchasing again , the smell is nice works well on dry aging skin . Becky Ellis Maine

I've used this cream regularly (after nearly every shower) for over 2 years now. I originally wanted to try it in hopes of improving my skin elasticity after a bit of weight loss. It ended up smelling absolutely amazing and it has now become my signature scent. It's not overwhelming like the other sol de Janeiro scents and it almost reminds me of candy or fruit. It prompted me to go out and buy all the '68 products to keep my scent layers on point. This includes the body wash, which also is advertised to improve elasticity. As for the quality of the cream, I didn't see any noticeable improvements in my skin's elasticity. The cream is rich, not too oily and again- smells amazing, but I do feel like it sits on the skin rather than penetrating it. The cream does make your skin feel soft and it lasts all day. I love that this product pairs with a body wash, deodorant, and body oil and spray, which I also use. I wish more companies did that with their products! Another thing to note is that the cream doesn't like extreme temperatures. On a few occasions I've had Amazon packages left out in the extreme heat or cold for hours and the consistency of the cream has been a little off. So keep a lookout for your package in the summer and freezing months. I give this product 4 stars because of the price and efficacy. If this product noticeably improved my skin's elasticity, it would absolutely be a 5 star product. It is a great moisturizer and smells amazing, but I can't justify the cost for the amount of product when it doesn't work as advertised. I have started purchasing other dermatologist recommended products that are more cost effective. I still love and use this cream, just not everyday.

I purchased this large size of plumping body cream on sale and I have used it almost daily ever since! That was nearly 4 months ago and I still have about 1/3 of it left. The fragrance is just amazing without being heavy and it’s easy to layer with any other scents you use. It’s not overpowering, but I can smell it on my pjs the next day (I shower and slather it on just before bed.) I find the texture just right, it’s not a thin lotion but not overly thick either. At first I used the little surfboard applicator but honestly I found that to be just an extra step. It’s handy if you have long nails I imagine (I definitely do not.) I have seen a difference in my skin elasticity especially on my arms, where I often have dry spots and keratosis pilaris. My upper arms especially are much smoother than they were a few months ago. It’s a splurge, but if you can find the large tub on sale it could easily last you 6 months. I have been basically bathing in the stuff. So for the money you get a lot! Huge fan and can’t wait to try more of their products now.

I had the bum bum cream which was PERFECT for summer- when I wanted a long lasting body butter that had a fragrance unlike any other for after a shower ( dry skin all year but especially winter) I went to their website and was met with SO many choices, but i kept going back to that pink Beija Flor, fragrance #68. I’m SO glad I did!! It smells floral, but with so many other notes! The thick butter covered every inch and that was just from the the lid!! This brand is fantastic and the smell is not a seasonal thing- it’s gorgeous and so worth every penny that I got it from Amazon. So happy with this purchase I just had to write this review! Hope it helps anyone else that has so many choices and wants that special blend that’s amazing!

I love this but on Amazon prime days. Light scent very moisturizing and absorbs very quickly. Not sticky at all or oily. The perfect balance!

A lovely, rich body cream, which really hydrates the skin. Quite expensive, but a little goes a long way. I love the subtle, clean fragrance. I can’t really comment on the collagen boosting because I haven’t yet got into the habit of using it on a regular basis, but my skin feels silky and smooth.

Product rook totaal naar niks. Doos volledig beschadigd.

O sea huele muy bien y deja la piel suave, pero no la humecta a profundidad. Hay productos mucho mejores y mil veces más baratos.
