These pokers extend pretty far which is a huge pro for me. They are perfect for roasting marshmallows but the more you extend the pokers, the less sturdy they are. They’re still great for making smores but wouldn’t use them for something heavy with the rod fully extended.

I bought these for my grandchildren; we had fun making s’mores. Each of them got to pick what color they wanted, which is great because the color helps them to remember which one is theirs. I love that they are retractable and extendable so the kids are at a safe distance from the fire pit when roasting the marshmallows. My grandchildren are 6 years old, 4 years old & 1 years old. The sticks were also very easy to clean and I love the fact that they came in a nice material bag to store them in. They loved them so much that I sent them home with them and I bought another set to keep at my house. I highly recommend this product.

These are clever, but the thinnest rod is very flimsy! And that's the one that is most in the fire. If you are taking care to keep your roasting stick out of the actual flames, and take a moment to allow it to cool before removing your item, it should be ok. This is not sturdy enough to hold a hot dog or cheddar wurst without bending, it's fine for marshmallows. A trick that works ok: extend all the telescoping sections except the smallest one. You lose some length but gain strength. The wooden handles are nicely coated and easy to clean. The forks clean up fine.

there's not a lot of extra strength in these - but there's the exact right amount, which is what we pay the roasting stick engineers the big bucks to figure out. we roasted a veggie brat in a campfire with one and i was a little worried about, but it performed like a champ. Also love how they telescope in for storage. Great design/value.
