Works, display does not always illuminate
This Dashcam Hardware(HW) kit has a USB-C connector and worked with my Redtiger F7N Touch. One BIG plus is that the dashcam starts up much quicker. With the standard ACC adapter, the F7N takes an excruciating 21 seconds to start recording. I can be well on the road by then. With the HW kit, the dashcam switches from parking mode to recording in a second or two. It also displays the voltage of the battery and the cutoff voltage. I stuck it to my dash so I can see these voltages easily, but you can easily put it near your fuse box if you want it out of sight. The kit comes with a bunch of 'Fuse Taps' so you can find B+ and ACC power. I had to use a voltmeter to find the active side of the fuse after removing the fuse because the power side was not always on the 'top.' I cracked the case open and I did not see any red-flags with the the electronics - it looks well built. Below are the connections from the Regulator to the USB-C pins. This is important because the dashcam needs to get constant power for its time-lapse parking monitor mode and needs to know when the car is started (ACC goes active) to start live recording, and these signals need to be on the correct pins. Below are the connections from the HW kit wires to the USB-C conector. Red Tiger HW kit USB-C Pinout Black wire: USB-C pins B1,B12 A1,A12 (All GND pins) Yellow wire: Battery+ USB-C pins A4,A9 & B4,B9 (All VBUS pins) Red wire: Switched Acc USB-C pins A5,A8 & B5,B8 (cc1,sbu1,cc2,sbu2) The F7N seems satisfied with receiving the ACC signal on just the cc1/cc2 pins, and this seems to be a dashcam 'standard' if you can call it that. This was verified by using a generic HW kit that did not have connections to sbu1, sbu2. The battery protection cutoff voltage is adjustable with 3 cutoff voltage choices and a digital voltage display, which can be nice to monitor your battery condition. The only issue I have with this HW kit is that sometimes the display does not light up, making me think it is not working. When I start the car, my dashcam starts up but the display does not illuminate with ACC. If I move the voltage cutoff switch, then the display lights up, displays the new cutoff voltage, then it displays ACC. So a minor 'glitch' in the display, but overall it seems to work.

cigarette lighter
I bought this hardwire kit for my dashcam so I could keep my windshield clean and power the camera without needing to plug it into the cigarette lighter—and I’m super happy with it! Installation was easier than I expected. The instructions were clear, and all the necessary fuse adapters and tools were included. I had it wired up and running in under 30 minutes, and I’m by no means a car expert. Just make sure to double-check your car’s fuse layout and use a multimeter if you’re unsure! The build quality is solid. The cables are thick, durable, and long enough to tuck neatly along the headliner and down into the fuse box. It also has low-voltage protection, which gives me peace of mind that my car battery won’t be drained if I leave it in parking mode overnight. Since installing it, my dashcam starts up instantly with the ignition and switches into parking mode perfectly. Zero issues so far. If you're looking to clean up your setup and get the most out of your dashcam, this hardwire kit is definitely worth it. Clean look, reliable power, and one less thing to think about.

Very easy to install!
Very easy to hook up and works really well. Instructions are very easy to understand and the fuse adapters make it quick and simple to install. Wires are good size and big enough to power the camera with ease. They also are well insulated and a good value to price.

Great product with pretty limited instructions.
The quality of the product is great. It comes with a tool to pull panels off if you need, and comes with tap-ins for most if not all cars. It's up to you to determine which fuses to tap into, you need to tap into one fuse with constant power (something that is always on) and one fuse with accessory power (something that's on only when the car is on). The taps all have 2 slots for fuses to go, YOU NEED TO KEEP THE 15a FUSE THAT COMES WITH THE TAP ON. Put the fuse you're tapping into in the other slot on the tap. It won't work unless both fuses are in the tap. This isn't made clear in any part of the instructions, and confused the hell out of me. Overall the product is good and functions as it should, but the unclear instructions made the install a little bit of a pain and took a bit for me to figure out. Hope this review helps someone out who ends up in a similar situation to me.

Good choice
I really had no problems with this hardwire kit. It was easy enough to figure out how to wire it in. It powers on immediately when I cut my car on. The wire was a little thicker to run down the A pillar in my Audi, but fit wasn't a major issue. Overall it's a great value and I don't have wires showing going to my cig lighter plug.

Defective product.
Defective product. Camera only works with cigerette lighter. Could not have it installed until after 30 days and therefore, camera not working.

Don’t buy this if you plan on using parking mode - it won’t help you
I purchased this camera and hardwire kit with about a one month timeframe before moving to another city. The goal was essentially to use parking mode as a second set of eyes on my car because this city is known for damage and break-ins to personal vehicles. Installation was fairly straightforward. Anybody that can operate a smartphone could navigate the settings on one of these cameras. I would say that the memory card provided is pretty small and once the camera starts recording, you notice there won’t be space for very much footage - especially if you intend to capture videos in parking mode. The problem I had was communication between the app, the camera, and the hardwire kit. There was always some sort of issue! This hardwire kit is fairly easy to install. One wire goes to the ground, one to a constant hot (such as the battery) so it always has power, and the last wire to ACC (some sort of accessory) which has power when the car is on, but turns off when you shut the car off. We tried many variations of ACC and constant connection, made sure there was proper voltage, even purchased a larger memory card, tested and REtested the connection with an electric light tester, etc. The camera was always showing it had power and that it was recording when it should have been, but the footage wouldn’t be there from when the camera should have been recording in parking mode. All settings for parking mode were arranged. The camera recognized the hardwire kit and displayed a large “P” on it which is the icon for parking mode, but again, there was never any footage. After all of this, I reached out to RedTiger customer service AND tech support. They STARTED off nice. In support’s first response, they said rest assured if I followed the troubleshooting they sent me and it didn’t work, they would replace my items. Well, guess what? The troubleshooting didn’t work and then they jerked me around, asked me a million more questions, asked for photos, the whole nine yards. I sent everything they asked for, even more, and maybe that was my mistake. Next, they would say oh I need another photo or send me another troubleshooting list even though they sent that same one to me 2 emails prior. I mean how different can a fuse box look from one photo to another? You can’t exactly cram a phone or camera up there to take a photo… Well, now I have jerked around with this camera, hardwire kit, and these customer/tech “support” people for almost a month. The camera arrived on March 4th and it is now March 26th. Of course this is a long review, and if you’re still with me, I applaud you. Save yourself the time, energy, stress, and sanity. Do NOT buy this camera/hardwire kit especially if you plan on using the parking mode! After this disaster, I purchased the ROVE brand dual dash cam. It took the same amount of time to set up as this travesty. The ROVE camera announces when it is switching modes (you can also turn that feature off), Parking mode on/off, recording, stop recording, Wi-Fi on, WiFi off, etc. The best part is - all of my footage is there! It has been like night and day. Good luck to all of you folks. I hope you find the camera that fits your needs!
