Square D 9013 FSG2 30/50 Schneider Electric FSG2J21CP 30-50 PSI Pumptrol Water Pressure Switch

Worked fine,but had to use parts off my old pressure switch. My fault for not checking that the NPT thread was a female and not a male for the rubber flap and tube section. Just wanted to point that out, thanks.

It wasn't exactly plug-and-play but that's a minor inconvenience. Our switch went bad but we didn't know that was the problem so we called a well-certified plumber. He showed up for $455, took the cover off and it magically started working again. He said that he could come back out the next day to replace it for "15", I said "15 dollars?" and he responded "no, $1500". I looked at him, I looked at the switch and said to myself "that's a $30 component with 3 wires sticking out of it, what the hell." Ordered it here, it arrived next-day and I replaced it. The pressure was 40/60 and not 30/50 but a quick online search showed me what I needed to adjust and which way I needed to turn it. Make sure you turn off the power between adjustments, the switch flies back and forth between off and on, you don't want to short it.

Works as designed, Square D (of Schneider Electric / parent co.) is among the very finest in the world. These pressure switches are also distributed under the Telemecanique brand, and yes, you may pay a few $ more for their products but the quality of materials and workmanship can not be matched by lesser expensive foreign knock-offs…the likes of which I experienced with the terminal screws stripping and the inability of clamping down on the electrical connection, a major safety hazard. You can’t go wrong with Schneider Electric products!

Defective item. During installation discovered a leak due to pressure switch connection to brass nipple had a crack. Poor quality control and cheap connector. Had to go to Home Depot to purchase a replacement to get well water system operational. Highly disappointed.

Easy to install and works perfectly with proper set up. Out of the box not set 40-60 psi, be sure to verify! No instructions included but under contact cover label has basic information. Little more expensive but Square D quality is worth the price!
