great value
I am at a loss to explain the many very negative reviews of this product. I need a lot of storage space, and have about a half-dozen of various Furinno shelving units. All are cleverly designed and went together with the greatest of ease. Considering the light-weight materials, they are quite sturdy. I wouldn't put very heavy things on them, of course, but for general storage of linens, etc., they are great units at good prices. This piece is no exception, though it is slightly more complex in terms of the number of pieces involved and how they go together. The instructions might seem a little daunting to a novice. Study them before assembling to insure success. Some intuition also must be used when drawings and parts are a bit unclear. But this is not exactly rocket science -- just common sense. The worst thing about my unit was the ghastly Styrofoam cushioning that the materials were packed in: it becomes magnetic when broken up, sticks to everything, and is very difficult to clean up. It can be removed by using tape, as you would to remove lint on a sweater. It sticks to the tape and can then be disposed of. The unit went together as instructed with little fuss or confusion. It took me about an hour to assemble completely, as opposed to 10 or 20 minutes for the simpler shelving units. It is held together with dowels between pieces. Long screws secure them. All the holes are in the right places, but examine the pieces first to make sure where everything goes. No glue is required, included, or needed as some reviewers state. Everything must be tightly joined, however: dowels must be lightly tapped in all the way, preferably with a rubber hammer. Screws must be fully inserted and tightened completely. Just hand-strength is sufficient, but give everything that extra little twist until they feel completely secure. The top piece attaches easily and securely with cam nuts and screws. Anybody who says it comes off just doesn't understand the working of the cam nut. The table is standard-size: not overly heavy, nor too small, substantial enough for ordinary use. It is not one of those football-field sized tables some people seemed to expect. In any case, the measurements are clearly and accurately described in the product description. Of course, you cannot put sweating glasses down on any piece of furniture without leaving a ring, including walnut and mahogany pieces which may sell for 100 times the price of this unit. Use a coaster and/or wipe off any liquids immediately. Some of the pieces did have nicks or broken veneer on them, as people say, but a little scratch-cover polish can take care of that. The cloth drawers are sturdy enough for what they are, and are attractive. They provide a little much-needed extra storage space, which comes in handy in a New York City apartment. A good table for a very casual setting, at a pretty fantastic price.

Cheap and great for small areas
i had already ordered some night stands of this brand already and was pleased with the product I was expecting the same with this coffee table. It is small and super easy to put together. I am in a studio apartment and it is the perfect size although it is a little shorter than I had hoped, none the less it makes my living room work. The drawers a small but big enough I can fit the typical TV remotes and video game controllers. The fabric drawers leave a little more to be desired just kind of want them to be a little more rigid like a drawer but I can always find others. I have seen other people ask questions about how sturdy this is and that is the only "flaw" and I don't even want to call it a flaw it's just the only thing I REALLY think it needs work on. You can eat off it no problem, writing on it no problem, you can lean or even prop your feet on it. However no you cannot put your aquarium on it, no you cannot stand on it and you should probably not put a TV on here. This is a coffee table it is small. It is also make of particle board. It's a bit wobbly and won't hold much weight but for eating, propping up feet or even doing some work on the floor it is great. The price is awesome and you can get a whole set from the same brand cheap. Would totally recommend this coffee table and their night stands for the minimalist type of person and someone looking for something cheap that gets the job done.

Typical Particle Board Quality
I bought this coffee table for our basement/game room where the couch is ony about 6 feet away from the t.v. Our old coffee table was way too fat and tall and I really wanted something small so i could put my feet up withiut my feet interfering with the t.v. screen without spending too much on real wood furniture. It is pretty small and looks good but while you put it together you are reminded of the cons if particle board. Here is my review and experience after buying this coffe table: PACKAGING: It's always a hit or miss with build it yourself furniture. It could come scratched, dinged, or chipped. Fortunately mine came safe and well packaged with just some minor cosmetic flaws on the legs (4/5). ASSEMBLY: Very easy to assemble. Not a lot of pieces. HOWEVER, the pilot holes for the screws are not recessed so when the coffee table is fully assembled, you'll see the black screws on the finished side of the legs. It makes it look cheaper so i drilled new holes and coverd the holes with wood stickers in dark brown/espresso. Also, it is very wasy to strip or chip particle board so be careful when you add and tighten screws. Overall, easy to assemble, just wish they changed the pilot holes for the screws or included stickers to cover them. (3.5/5) APPEARANCE: For $65.00, it looks good for what it is and is pretty sturdy once fully assembled. The finish is typical of this type of furniture. I ordered the espresso/dark brown and it seems these colors are always up to interpretation. To me, it's more of a dark walnut rather than espresso. I guess that's why they advertise it as dark brown as well. Either way, it blends pretty good with my existing furniture so it was ok. Just prepare yourself for the potential that the color won't match your specific expectations (4/5) STORAGE: While it is nice that they include the 2 bins, they are very thin and cheap feeling. I would'nt put heavy things in them, just light stuff like game controllers or remotes, things if that nature. Fortunately, they look nice so at least they are not eye sores. Plus, you can always add higher quality baskets if you want. (3.5/5) OVERALL: I think this is a great buy for those on a tight budget and/or in a small living area. Perfect for college dorms or small living rooms. Just remember you are paying for, and getting, particle board quality furniture so your experience may vary in terms of quality control. (3.8/5)

Great Table at the Right Size and Height with Plenty of Storage
This coffee table is just the right size, not too big or too small. It has two cloth draws that allows you to put snacks or magazines in, and a shelf to put heavier things. The table is made of wood and is painted, so it can be damaged easily by hitting it (such as with your sofa as I did) or by heat (melting the paint with a hot pot). So if you plan to put something hot on the table, best to use wooden cushions that you can get at 99 cent stores. Another suggestion is add a small table cloth or plastic cover for easy clean up and prevent damage. If you like eating while sitting on the floor, this table is the right height for it, and each end offers room to keep your legs under the table. All the screws come in the box to assemble the three layers and the legs, but you do need your own screw driver. Some reviewers said the top of their tables moved, but it is not true if you turn the mechanism that locks the top of the table in place. There is a graphic instruction sheet, so read it carefully during assembly. It took me a little over half hour to put together, but that's because I was taking my time and having a semi-conversation with my mom.

Not the best quality. Have glue with you to keep the trim on
For the price this table is very pretty. The color of the collapsible storage bins leaves a bit to be desired but those can easily be changed to a color that more suits your flair. You will want to look for 4.5x10x14” ish. The table was easy to put together, the directions were written well. I think it took me like ten minutes. The packaging was not so great. It arrived beat up and the eco friendly foam blocks they used had somehow been shredded in parts so it left me, my black dog and my wood floors covered in white snow that 24 hrs later I’m still trying to remove. It clings to everything! Just a warning so you can plan your preparation area accordingly. I got the espresso color and it’s beautiful. It does have a couple of minor scratches on it. The trim is where the cheap price is evident as numerous areas were loose on arrival. I’ve glued them, but who knows how long it will stay. I do love the fact it has little feet you can hammer on so it protects from scratching. There is room for improvement, but it’s not the worst thing in the world. Overall it is an OK affordable piece that will get me through til my next move, but won’t hold up through the move.

5/5 - Perfect Coffee Table for My Space!
I’m so happy with this coffee table! It arrived exactly as described—sturdy, stylish, and easy to assemble. The design is modern but warm, and it really ties the room together. The size is just right—not too big, not too small—and the finish looks even better in person. It’s functional too, with plenty of surface area for decor, drinks, and even some storage underneath. Highly recommend this table if you’re looking for something both affordable and high quality!

Sturdy, easy to assemble, and economical choice!
Yes this is small, however, the measurements are clearly given prior to ordering so this was exactly what I was expecting. Having a small child, I was not looking at this time for an expensive coffee table as the clock would just be ticking as to when the damage would occur. ;-) This table was assembled in under 30 minutes, all pieces were included, and yes, most likely you will have nicks and areas that are slightly damaged. (In my case a few tiny areas where the finish had rubbed off) I agree no item should arrive damaged, but we also just purchased a $600 electric fireplace that had the same exact cosmetic issues so I believe cost does not make a difference anymore. (Unfortunately, this is just the way assembled furniture seems to come anymore whether you pay $30 or $600. What can you do?) I anticipated it would arrive with areas that sight wise I would consider problematic and when I ordered this I also ordered a fancy lace 16 X 48 table runner that actually ended up making this little coffee table really look like an adorable little furniture piece. (16 x 48 is the table runner I ordered and was the perfect size and allowed for a small amount overhang each side) There are two easy pop up baskets on each side which adds for more storage that drew me to this table in the first place. (Decent size baskets) I am very pleased and would not hesitate to use this company again. Again I stress, know your measurements BEFORE you order. For our purposes the area this was going in required a size such as this.

Great Coffee Table!!! ... FOR THE PRICE...
I needed a compact coffee table for my limited living space, and after searching everywhere, I stumbled onto this one, and the dimensions seemed to be perfect. But, all the negative reviews put a damper on any hope of the table being durable, or worth the price. But I bought it anyway, and hoped for the best. I read others say it was a chore to assemble, but to me, putting it together was a breeze. I do, what I always do with furniture, and put some glue on the seams and dowells to reinforce it. Whether cheap or pricey, all furniture is susceptible to becoming wobbly and unstable over time, so adding glue can triple it's lifespan. Once put together, it's a great little piece. The dimensions that were on the Amazon product page are perfectly accurate, so no worries to anyone thinking otherwise. The thing that I love the most, compared to my previous table, is the unique shape. The top of the table is wider and longer than the bottom supports. In other words, you get space to move around for your feet, but the top "counter space" of the table isn't compromised. The fabric drawers are not stable in the least, so don't expect to put anything too heavy in them. Their design are exactly like any other fabric storage drawer, but the bottom piece of cardboard is FLIMSY. Personally, I only needed one drawer, so I took the bottom cardboard support from the other, and forced two together, to make a stronger foundation. If you need both, I recommend reinforcing each with a second piece of cardboard on the bottom surface. There were light scuffs, and fraying on the edges, but I'm okay with that, because you get what you pay for! I hate to see reviews of people complaining about a purchase made, that is in the bottom rung of the product's price bracket. A coffee table's price range should be somewhere between $50 and $250. So if you find one for $30, you shouldn't be too critical when reviewing, because it throws people off! This table is worth every penny it costs! If I had paid $60 bucks for it, then trust me, my review would been completely different. But, it's a great coffee table, for it's price.

Great so far for the money
I bought this despite many bad reviews; there were also good ones -- I might be lucky! I don't understand reviewers who complained it was small. Didn't they look at the very clear measurements before they ordered it? It's exactly as advertised (& exactly what I wanted). And I don't understand reviewers who complained it wasn't the greatest quality. Did they expect the quality of tables two or three times the price? Time will tell whether it stands up to my expectations of a lower-cost product -- initially, it does. Mine arrived late, with an apology from Amazon. All parts were there, & nothing was damaged. The surfaces have marks that aren't part of the grain, but they blend in & are acceptable. I intend to get a piece of glass cut to cover the top; reviews suggest that it marks very easily. Assembly was quick & easy. I was gentle, since some reviews reported damage during assembly. I think some of the pictures in the instructions could be improved, but with common sense I had no problems. However, a big negative was the holes that were drilled for the dowels. I pushed the dowels in with my thumb, not the rubber hammer suggested, & they went in so far that very little remained above the surface (until I pulled them back out half-way with pliers). It would be better if the dowel holes were drilled to a depth of half the dowels' length -- presumably it affects the overall sturdiness of the product if two parts don't make an equal connection. It's fine with or without the drawers. I'm going to lift rather than drag it if I move it, despite the little feet you hammer in the bottom; I can anticipate the sides of the 'legs' lifting off if they catch on carpet or other floor-covering. I bought this purely on size -- I couldn't find anything else the same. It looks good, & seems sturdy; with no kids & no pets, I'm hoping I'm as pleased with it in a couple of years' time as I am now.
