Would it clip the thick wires tightly?

Will this stick to metal? Thanks

Yes. The sticky pad is very strong and will stick to most surfaces

So, if I have these attached to the back edge of my desk, do the cables pull/retract easily? Or do you have to feed the wire back?

Well the only way this item can be used is to push the cable in to hold. That's it can not slide or pull, cable will just pop out.

How do you remove them? I've tried pulling, twisting it, etc but it's stuck on!

I've had some success heating the glue with a hair dryer then prying them off with a flat blade (not sharp).
