Worth the Buy
So worth the buy. Excellent knives, sharp and they do a very good job at cutting my meat. We buy beef in bulk and slice our own steaks & such. These knives do the trick. They do a great job at slicing.

Wow, this was such a great surprise!
It was a total impulse buy, but I’m so glad I went for it! Arrived the next day, well packed to stay cold.. I thawed one for dinner and cooked it in a hot skillet with olive oil, using my seasoning. 5 min on one side, 3 on the other and got a perfect crust. Let it rest for a minute, then we split it after a quick discussion on who got which half. It was just perfect. Tender, buttery and full of flavor, just like a high quality NY Strip. We had it with roasted vegetables and a big pot of herbed, buttered mashed potatoes. Honestly, I shouldn’t have second-guessed this purchase. Everything about it was excellent, and I’ll definitely be ordering more!

GRISTLE!!!
The marketplace ad was skillfully. Word crafted and wordsmith make it sound like this was prime cuts of beef! Far from, however, the beef was not fork, tender, and it was gristle throughout. The only advantage was that I was able to return or actually get my money back for this Beef that was by no means the quality that was advertised!

Tough New York Strip
Bought these for my Dad for Christmas. When I asked if he had tried one, he said yes but wasn’t going to say anything because the meat was tough and was of poor quality. So we have a grumpy customer for the Grumpy Butcher.

A different taste
They were good. They had a different taste and texture than we have ever tasted. Don't think I'll ever buy again .

Best steaks ever
I ordered 8 strip steaks. The meat was more tender than filet mignon, very fresh, lightning fast shipping and at a decent price. One or two minor gripes tho - they came packaged 4 steaks to a package partially frozen while I prefer individually wrapped steaks. Also, one package of 4 steaks appeared to be a tangled mess of cut meat rather than "steak" steaks. It's still delicious but if I saw the presentation in local butcher shop I would have passed it by.

Great texture and marbling
Although New York strip steaks are not at the top of my steak list (I'm a steak snob), I bought the grumpy's strips because they were on promo and, boy, they were seriously good. Thick enough (but not too thick to quickly sear), very tender (competing with filet mignons), well marbled (but not too fatty), moderately priced (but not cheap $10 steak at a local store or some overpriced steaks on Amazon). Just bring them to room temp before cooking, add coarse salt and some black pepper, heat your pan good (don't need cast iron for these strips) and pan sear them on high for 2 minutes per side. Don't forget to let them rest for 5-7 minutes!

Not your average cut
Bought these Grumpy Butcher strip steaks for a weekend dinner and seared them in a cast iron skillet—3 minutes per side, then rested for a few. The marbling was spot on, and they stayed tender even cooked to medium, which my wife prefers. Our neighbor popped by for a drink and ended up finishing a steak too—he couldn’t stop raving. Only nitpick: I wish the thickness was a bit more consistent across the pack to allow for universall doness, but flavor and quality were definitely there.
