GOOD, TASTY
I am going to keep these tomatoes in stock. I love tomatoes, fresh and canned. My winter grubstake didn't last long. For fresh, we rely on our gardens. I live in an apartment complex now, so I buy at the farmer's markets and can what I'm able to get home. Through winter, I like to make my own sauces, especially for shrimp or halibut. These whole tomatoes will be perfect for my salsa, as well, until southcentral farmettes get in the good stuff.

Expensive, but nice
I bought these tomatoes to give my usual pizza sauce recipe a little boost of sweetness and acidity. For that purpose, they did not disappoint. I have no idea why canned cherry tomatoes are impossible to find in a regular grocery store, but that's why I ordered them online. My two main gripes about this product are that it's rather pricey, and for whatever reason, I found them somewhat firmer than I was expecting, which made them a little difficult to grind up. I don't have any left, so I can't look at the packaging and see if there's any calcium chloride in the mix or not. I'm thinking there probably is, and that's what makes them a bit firmer than I think they need to be. I make large quantities of sauce when I want to make a bunch of pizzas, so I used one can of these mixed with a #10 can of Stanislaus 7/11 crushed tomatoes with my usual seasoning blend, and I was pleased, but it was a challenge to get them smoothly blended in. I don't think I'd make a sauce with only these tomatoes, because they're a bit too intense for that, at least to my palate. Anyway, if you're looking to give your pizza sauce a little extra something, they're worth trying.

These cherry tomatoes are full of flavour.
I just crave tomatoes! But if they are cooked too much, they do nothing for me. But these tomatoes are done just right, and I find them very satisfying!
