Great phones with a few shortcomings
These are a really great sounding set of phones for the money. When properly fit, the sound reproduction is full and crisp. They have dynamics and detail on par with some hi-end studio over-the-ears I have used, (Beyer Dynamics, Sony, Ultrasone) when listening to hi quality digital audio, (vorbis, flac, mp3). I detect a little bit of rise in the mids, but it is not peaky. This will bring the snare more forward on typical pop tunes. The bass is full an rich, but it definitely is not hyped. The upper highs, (the air range), is rather subdued. You have very good response to maybe 12k. This is certainly reasonable for casual listening. Those who have ears sensitive enough to hear the missing floating cymbals thing may be disappointed. In that case you really need an top set of over-the-ears. There are a couple of minor negatives. First, the handling noise is pretty bad. I don't really notice when playing music. I really hear it when talking on the phone. The other issue is getting a tight fit to my ear. As with any in-ears, the bass response is directly proportional to your ability to get a tight fit to your ear. The package comes with several sizes of sleeves. I started large and continued to go smaller until I found something that I could wear for few hours comfortably and still get a good seal. I went smaller than usual. The biggest fit issue comes from the flat cable. I find that it interferes with a tight fit unless they are almost parallel to the ground. This is true of round cable too. However, the flat cable is less flexible near the ear-buds, so it does not lie as nicely on the ear. I think this is a minor issue. It will not interfere with your ability to enjoy the phones. Just be aware that you will have to work a little harder to find that 'Ahhhh!!' place. The software is pretty good. I do find that I have to press the button for just the right amount of time to get it to do what I want. I am still getting used to that. The packaging is really slick, but kind of silly. This is one of those cases where form won over function. They just need to make that tab you have to press a to open the case a little larger and more accessible. So why did I give this product 5 stars? Because for the price, this is an awesome sounding set of phones. Also, this is the only set of phones that work seamlessly with Samsung S3 AFAIK. So it hit a home run in the most important functional areas for me. One last comment: I bought the white one because I use these in an office. I need to make sure my colleagues can clearly see that I have them in when they stop by to talk to me. One officemate said it looks I am wearing some kind of stethoscope!!

Amazing Bass!
I've been antsy all day waiting for these to arrive, and after checking UPS 20th time today they finally arrived! The box gave me some trouble to open, although it is a simple mechanism the opening is small so I recommend using scissors or a pen to push the little square tab in. It's really shocking to see just how small these are but they still pack a punch! As soon as I plugged the One+ into my Android and opened Poweramp it was immediately obvious why these are called the bassiest of the a-Jay series. If you mostly listen to Rap and Dubstep like me I'm sure you'll love these. Even if you're not really into extreme bass you'll find that the One+ is well balanced and should work well in any genre. Pros: L-shaped plug (I've lost several earphones this year because the wire wore out while in my pocket). Flat cable (Tangle proof) Great bass Microphone sounds clear and is easy to use, you won't even notice that it's there while you're talking. App is easy to find and use but has some problems(See Cons) Cons: The flat cable does have slight microphonics as some others have pointed out but that's a small price to pay for tangle free earphones and it isn't really that noticeable. The button on the earphone isn't as responsive as I had hoped. Whether it be a fault of the app or the device itself I'm not sure. This review may be updated after I've had time to burn-in but I doubt these could get any better. [UPDATE] The button works fine, all the functions work easily except when you "double press" to skip track you need to be more forceful when pressing or it will just pause the audio[/UPDATE]

Exactly What the Doctor Ordered
These Ear-buds met my standards in terms of durability, look, feel, and price. Durability: I have purchased a great many of ear-buds and always ran into the same issue with them- They didn't last very long. 60 to 120 dollar ear-buds ended up breaking with great care and careful handling within 3 to 10 months. I figure if I am spending so much money on a product that is of better quality than your average 10 dollar pair of ear-buds shouldn't it last longer than a cheap 10 dollar pair of ear-buds? Unfortunately, this issue does not quite embed itself in some fancy pants headphone developers developments. Jays ,however, have taken great care into making sure these ear-buds are long lasting and dependable. Also at the same time making jays look beautiful in a simplistic and modern design. Not to mention the feel of these ear-buds are great as well. The buds are simple and versatile. A few design pluses include: A concave finger grove on the backside of the ear-bud to insure comfortable positioning of in ear tip, a small dot on the right ear-bud which can be easily felt and extremely useful the determining different right/left ear-buds in a dark environment, a simplistic easy to press and find button which can be used to skip songs, play/pause, etc, and a lovely tangle free cord. These ear-buds are designed for on the go activity which is exactly what I, and i'm sure other people, need ear-buds for. The sound quality is clear and crisp and covers all the bases reasonably well. However, keep in mind these are 60 dollar ear-buds; Do not expect "120 dollar +" ear-bud quality of sound. In all honesty if you are looking for the highest quality sounds and a unforgettable listening experience invest in "over-ear" headphones. ear-buds are designed with transportation comfortably in mind and that is what jays one+ are made for. And they are the best ear-buds, in my opinion, in the price range of 40 to 90 dollars- in terms of all around greatness. --Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 BEWARE: volume up and volume down function will not work on these phones due to devices root settings. pause, skip, play, etc. all work just fine. If you cant live without volume up or down i recommend you look for different ear-buds Android compatible and have separate buttons for volume up and down. --Android user recommendation: I tried several music apps on the app store, and the best one i found for jays one+, that is also compatible with "jays headset control" app is called "Poweramp".

From opening the fancy packaging through to playing my music the entire experience with these is superb. They sound leaps and bound ahead of the Seinheisser CX300s that cost the same and play nothing but treble. Cables are knot free too. My only minor gripe would be that the cables do generate rubbing noise if playing at low volume and resting on a desk or similar when listening and moving about. Same with all thick cables though. Buy 'em. You won't regret it.

Just recieved my a-jays one + in the post today. Summary: Pros: Great look, Brilliant bassy sound, Good companion app. Cons: Slight issue with click commands, but nothing major. Detail: I'm not really a proper music geek, but I can appreciate good sound. Decided to buy new in ears after my last ones died. My taste in music is varied, but I mostly listen to hip-hop, electric, and a bit of indy. On first listen with the a-jays the difference in sound compared to the set I had been using was dramatic. Really rich bass that I would compare to a decent set of over ear cans. You do get a sense of space and a depth of sound with these. I can totally understand now other reviewers when they said they can hear parts of the music that they couldn't before. Really low pitched bass-lines are now much more apparent, I didn't even know they existed with my last pair! As for the other features, the right angled jack is a nice touch and it keeps a low profile to my Samsung Galaxy S4. I can also say that I haven't found the same problems other reviewers have mentioned regarding the weight of the cable. It's the same weight just a different shape from what I can tell. The companion app "Jays Headset Control" seems to work well. It even hooks into Spotify's controls, so skipping tracks etc works well. The only problem I've had is using some of the more complicated click sequences, as these seem to activate some of the Galaxy's S Talk features, instead of completing the mapped function. This isn't really a problem for me though as the main play, pause, skip tracks functions all seem to work fine. I'm also confident there will be a setting somewhere which negates this problem. I can't really speak about the long term durability or build quality, but from the look and feel of them now, they are very well made, robust, and I would guess that they'll last a good while. Included a set of buds that fit perfectly, and I can also say that some comments of them being uncomfortable haven't been present for me. I would highly recommend these, a couple of the guys in my office have even said they are going to buy a pair after listening to the unbelievable sound quality produced by these tiny earphones. Well played Jays!
