How does it attach to ceiling?

Center of cover has screw that you place a bar inside the hole and screw attached to the bar pulling it up to the ceiling

Does this have a rolled thicker edge or is it very flat?

It has a very narrow rolled edge

How does this attach to the wall?

Actually when I bought one this size, I used it to patch a hole in a irreplaceable ceiling. Just used construction adhesive to put it up. I suppose you can use it on a wall. But if the hole is in sheetrock there are much cheaper ways to repair a hole in the wall.

Search over!!

This was perfect for concealing speakers holes. Holes were 9.75in. in diameter. A little light sanding and then flat, matte or chalk-finish spray paint to best match the ceiling. Turned out perfect!

Works, but for the price missing the little things

Size and quality of the plate is good. But 2 things really bug me for the price paid.The screw provided and any screw I had would not sit flush with plate. This is quite annoying if you are trying to make the plate as invisible as possible.Second is this is not paint ready. I needed a really good layer of primer or sanding.Pictured there is a piece of tape painted to the same color to hide the screw better. (not provided) you can see the bump from the screw.
