Calphalon Classic Stainless Steel Cookware Set, 10-Piece, Impact-Bonded Aluminum Base, Stay-Cool Handles

These pans are working great. As other reviews have said there are some light discoloration on the bottom of the pans. A slightly milky like coloration. However, I did not buy them for the looks. They cook great. The nesting feature is nice to reduce storage space. The quality of the build is good. The lids fit well. They came very well packed, I think they go through a lot of packaging material. I use them on an induction stove and the cook time is good. Now I need a higher end stove as this Frigidaire is not quite up to the performance of my previous GE Gallery series.

I love these pans and am so glad all the former reviews panned (haha) out to be true. I’ve used these extensively now for over a year and can confirm they are a GREAT set that I expect will last many many years to come! A few pieces of advice to get the most out of this (or any) set of quality stainless steel pans:- They are dishwasher safe but I do not ever put them in the dishwasher. They clean so easily and fast that the potential harm far outweighs cleaning them by hand. If needed, soak for an hour or two with some hot water and soap. Try not to let them soak for extended periods of time. With that in mind I did in fact get lazy once and leave a pan to soak for a week because, depression and all - and they didn’t get harmed. So that is a huge deal!- I use a regular sponge to clean them. I do this to avoid scratching them. The soak should be all you need to get stuff stuck off them.- When I finish drying them to avoid water spots I use a towel to dry them off 95% of the way and let them air dry the final bit before putting them into my cabinet.- For spotting over time, barkeepers friend and or the pink stuff will take it right off. You can also make a homemade cleaner with some vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda - but the first 2 I mentioned are cheap and work so well I don’t bother.- if you struggle with these especially if you used non-stick in the past - be patient. Start with less heat than you’d use with a non-stick. Use more oil than you’d use in a non-stick. I personally prefer my nonstick for say, eggs. But a steak or fish or chicken or vegetables where I want some charring and browning? This is the way to go. (Or a cast iron if that’s more your thing.).- I bought a cheap steaming basket on Amazon that fits into the largest pot and it works great to steam veggies etc. the largest pot is big enough for me to make 20 large servings of cheese for Mac n cheese on Thanksgiving - It’s quite large.Overall for the price point, the variety of sizes and uses these pans provide and the overall longevity I’ll get from this purchase I fully recommend them. If I had one single thing to critique it’s that the lids do not fit all of the pans. The largest frying pan is larger than any of the lids which, is a shame. Sometimes I have things I need a lid for which is frustrating.. but other than that it’s damn near perfect!

I ordered these pans last night after taking a look at my 22 month old t-fal pans, which after weekly use with nothing but rubber utensils all had tiny scratches and chips in them, even the little sauce pan that I've used *maybe* 20 times in the nearly two years I've owned it. Not really trusting t-fals promise that whatever material that comes off of their pans is "inert" and "will pass through the body", I decided I had enough of cheap (and proven dangerous despite "promises" - not just as a carcinogen, but the permanent damage forever chemicals used to make non-stick pans have done to our planet too) teflon pans and made the leap.These stainless steel pots and pans arrived a little after 9:00 am, and I woke my poor spouse as I ran onto the porch in my pjs and dragged the box inside giggling like it was Christmas. I continued to giggle as I opened the box, pausing to examine each piece of this set and whisper "wow!" at how incredible these pans look and feel. However, looks couldn't be the only thing to go off of when deciding if I could make the full switch to stainless steel. Immediately I decided to put them to the test to see if I had what it took to truly convert - by making fried eggs, the bane of non-stick cookware.I was worried that I would just make a mess of my brand new pan, and waste a bunch of eggs... I soon learned that I needn't be however. After letting the pan preheat on medium low, doing the water test, oiling and salting the pan and cracking my eggs inside... they cooked, and slid perfectly out onto the plate, just as good as they would in a non-stick pan! I was so impressed that I made a second serving of eggs for my poor spouse who I woke up in my excitement - this time though they stuck a *little*, but I think that was because the pan got a little bit too hot from going two rounds. I wish I took pictures of the eggs, but we ate them so fast (and they were very delicious - not sure if it's just my excitement but I swear they tasted better cooked in stainless steel)I am absolutely ecstatic! I am officially done with teflon pans, and you can be too if you get this set!

Use them all the time! Usa made? Anyway... almost premium cookware w/o a $1000 price tag! When u stain a pot? Just use a SOS PAD, cleans up like new!

So far my worst purchase to date. My first attempt was frying two eggs and they just stuck like nothing else. I tried the other pans and more of the same . Everything sticks. Im getting rid of them and I just purchased them this past March. I don't know, maybe there's a curing or treating process before use, that I missed. Its been an awful experience on my end. I read nothing but positive reviews. I've never wrote a review but felt compelled to so, if it going to help someone.

I purchased a full set when Calphalon was first introduced a number of years ago. Then they disappeared from store shelves and I was disappointed because they were GREAT and I wanted some extra pieces. This set is slightly less hefty than my original, but just as good and I purchased a set for my son and his wife as well - they love them too!
