These were so cheap, so I was a little concerned and that only grew as I saw reviews that showed people getting less than advertised and or, different, dull colors. Still, for the price, I crossed my fingers and ordered. We've had them a few weeks and generally use at the end of braids. They are small and wouldn't do for a full ponytail for my thick haired 10 yr old, but they're great for pigtails on the thin-ish haired 8 yr old. We're not particularly careful with with them either. Sometimes want a really good all day or night hold on those braids so.. I'm guilty of stressing hairties to get them tight. I also temporarily store them on a hairbrush handle and transfer to proper storage only once or twice a week.. so they are stretched more than they aren't. Anyway, I'm impressed with the quality because none have popped or overstretched yet.

Colors are a little off but get the job done. Wish the pack had a traditional pink color.

Great value - as advertised

I ordered the 40 piece pack and I guess you don't know if you're getting the bright colors or the more pale, pastel colors. I wanted the bright ones, thought I was ordering the bright one (due to the pic) and ended up with the pastel colors, which I dislike very much. Besides that, I don't have children but I do have fine blonde hair. These seem like they'll be great for that, much less damaging than the little clear plastic bands.

Got cheated by receiving different color of bands

These are the smaller sized fabric-wrapped elastics of the common sizes of elastic that Goody sells. They're just over an inch in diameter. They wouldn't work for my thicker hair (I use the larger size myself) but they work great for my daughter's fine hair. They don't have the grip factor of the plastic/silicone smaller elastics, but they are also a lot gentler on the hair. It's worth noting that this type of "ouchless" elastic wears out over time. Eventually, the outer fabric stretches out at the point of the glue/seam that holds them together, but you get so many in this pack that I just throw the stretched out ones away and grab another from the pack.

The item posted to me was completely different from that shown in the photo!!! Even though I had emailed the seller in advance of purchasing the item to check the colours of the bands were as shown in the photo- as a previous review had said they had recieved different colours from that shown in the photo. Not only were colours different (orange, green, beige & yellow) but they were much thicker than in the photo. Not impressed at all!!
