Will kill yellow nutsedge as it claims.
Sprayed 1/2 gal, had to divide one pack in half, not hard to do. Spot treated my yard in Fl and in two weeks I have a good kill or dying. Will spray the other half gal to get the ones I missed or a couple that donโt look dead enough. First time using this product and I am very pleased with the outcome.

It's very slow, but it seems to be working
Most of the nutgrass is dead (a month later) after just one application. And it did not hurt the bluegrass and fescue mix lawn grass. It took a full 2 weeks before I saw any change. There's one small area where the nutgrass was 2 feet tall and blooming that I think is going to need a second dose to totally kill it, but I'm not sure. It's still alive but looks like it's dying. Since I still have almost a half gallon of the mixed spray, I might as well spray that big stuff again because the mix probably won't last until next spring. I bought the 2-pack, but it looks like just one packet would have been enough. ๐

โNot today, Nutsedge. Not today.โ
Ah, the Atticus Empero Q-Pak Nutsedge Killerโthe superhero your lawn never knew it needed. If weeds were tiny villains plotting world domination, this stuff is basically the caffeine-charged assassin that shows up and says, โNot today, Nutsedge. Not today.โ Spraying it is oddly satisfying. Thereโs something primal about misting the enemy while wearing gloves and pretending youโre in a high-stakes action movieโฆ except the soundtrack is your neighbor mowing their lawn and your dog barking at a leaf. Effectiveness? Instant gratification, lawn-style. One week in, and those pesky spikes of doom are curling up like they just got served a cease-and-desist letter. Youโll start feeling like a wizard, wand (sprayer) in hand, banishing green intruders with magical efficiency. Downside: you will talk to your plants differently now. โYes, growโฆ just not you, Nutsedge. You, youโre on notice.โ Final verdict: 5/5 stars โ Kills weeds, boosts ego, and turns your backyard into a drama-free zone. Your lawn will never forget youโฆ but the weeds sure will. ๐ฑ๐

Works, but slowly.
Each packet makes 1 gallon and should be used in its entirety, not stored in a sprayer. It seems to be working, although slower than Iโd like. The attachment shows nutsedge yellowing. The first application was about two weeks ago and the second application was about a week ago.

Kills nutsedge as advertised.
I had a pretty good stand of sedge in my Iris beds. Could not spray in fear of harming my plants. So I mixed it 10 to 1 and painted it on. This was about a week and a half ago and the plants are yellowing.. Appears to work as advertised.

No very quick
Still waiting to see some kind of signs of it working. Nothing after 3rd application.

Doesn't work as well as I expected.
I have some kind of sedge all over my yard. Thicker in some areas over others but definitely spreading everywhere. Seems to love warm weather and tolerates drought very well. Our weather has been more warm than cold this year and because of this weeds and sedge got early start. But so did I. I sprayed this stuff about a month ago when I first saw them coming up. It did seem to kill them but apparently it doesn't kill or stop others from coming up. And I think you can only apply this 2x a year. I'm still facing several months of these things still coming up so this really seems like a season long effort, but I only can put down one more application. This stuff grows so well, so much better than grass, so heat, drought, disease and bug tolerant, maybe I should just use it for my lawn!

Slow but effective
Easy to use - I mix a packet of powder in a milk gallon jug and pour part of the liquid into a spray bottle and store the rest. Each packet makes a gallon. Unlike Ortho Nutsedge Killer, it takes several weeks before the nutsedge actually turns brown and dies, but more importantly the nutsedge won't spread; Ortho kills the nutsedge in 2 or 3 days. Atticus Empero uses a different pesticide - halosulfuron (the same as used in Sedgehammer) - vs sulfentrazone used in Ortho. Both are effective but Ortho costs more. Update: This season I made the mistake of overwatering my lawn and the nutsedge came back. I now just pour the solution from my milk bottle directly on where I see the nutsedge. They turn brown in a few days, much quicker than by spraying. For a large area, I just douse the whole area. This doesn't harm the grass and keeps them from spreading. This method is not too costly and is effective. Also: Mature nutsedge takes longer to die; be patient. Update 2: I have discovered an effective method to rid all nutsedge: Instead of pouring the aforementioned solution onto the nutsedge and waiting for it to die, I yank out the nutsedge and then pour the solution down the hole where the nutsedge was. That way: 1)The nutsedge is gone; 2)The solution will reach the underground sedge and kill it for good; any new growth will be immediately noticed.
