He's been wearing the Comfy cone for a good few months but it was very cumbersome and got quickly dirty. With the Stop Bite he's back to hiding in ridiculous corners and crevasses that he couldn't before and has a lot more mobility. He did take a day or two to find out a good position to sleep in, as it is not totally comfortable to sleep in. But he's used to it now and over all much happier. I'm so glad!! Review: Such high hopes - My cat clips her fur due to anxiety. We rescued her as a stray. I don't know what she has been through but she does it to the point that she is bleeding. I really hoped this collar would work. At first it seemed to. But it seems she was able to reach herself enough to lick just a little lower than she was before. In order to work it has to be so tight that she is miserable. So back to the over sized cone of shame she has been wearing for quite some time now. The cone is awkward but not as uncomfortable as she seems to be in this collar. I think this collar might work on a bigger animal like a dog and maybe even most cats but this cat is just to flexible and determined.

Great idea but poorly designed
I bought this for my cat and he hated it. He can get any E-collar off no matter how tight it is so I thought the buckle around his chest was a great idea. Unfortunately the buckle sits right on his shoulder blade and caused him pain. He can eat and function with just the collar on although he is not happy (what cat is with an E-collar) but once that buckle is on he starts trying to bite me. I bought an extra small I think any bigger would have been to high around his neck. He is a 11 pound shorthair. If that buckle was lower near his stomach I think it would have been a great idea. I still don't think I want to discourage anyone to try it. Because it did not work for me does not mean it wont work for you.

It is good quality and my dog seems to be comfortable in it. And she is able to get through the doggie door unlike the conventional cone, however, she could still lick her rump. I don't know if the sizing is off, or if she's very determined and flexible, but it was not functional for me.

... and let's face it your cat is going to hate it but you just have to make a judgement ...
I have tried everything and let's face it your cat is going to hate it but you just have to make a judgement call, is this better for your cat than a cone? Depends on the cat. The cat can still see side to side it's just a little restricting but that's the point. My cat has a huge hot spot that she just will not leave alone. I have tried everything. She can not wear a cone... Or rather I could not bring myself to make her wear one. My advice is to try this and if your cat doesn't do well... Meaning ... Can't sleep, can't eat... Seems miserable take it off and get your money back. It's very good quality and it fit pretty well, I got an extra small. I didn't leave it on long enough for it to heal because I am a sucker but like I said every animal is different. Doesn't hurt to try.

Too large
The x-small was listed as a size for cats. I suppose if you have very large cats it might fit but for an average size or small cat it is just too big. It looks like it would work if it fit.
