Not gonna say my deck was 100% mosquito free but more like 90%. The difference was very noticeable when started using this. I was surprised with how effective it was. Small price to pay for comfort and can be on the deck again without swatting away mosquitos while soaked in bug spray. Plenty of youtube's out there that walk you through how to refill the cartridges, it really is pretty easy.

We found these last Summer on Amazon and bought three different systems (the compressed fuel version is just amazing for campsites), and we buy both types of repellant refills: the liquid and the heat-sensitive pads. I can't praise them enough. They are long-lasting, super effective and have given me the great joy one spending a lot of time on our patio without the continual barrage of mosquitoes. This is the only product that keeps the mosquitos away from me! If I don't they love to eat me for breakfast, lunch & supper ! This stuff really works!

Does not work in my standard Thermacell Machine, waste of money! Refills do appear to be the same as ones which were sent with the original machine.

Used only once I thought it would have no effect on mosquitoes. Because I woke up and my legs were all red.😅
