I used to buy these at Brent’s deli down in Los Angeles, and they were excellent down there and I must say this brand is just as good out of a box of 36. I found one bar with a clump of salt in it but 35 of them were incredible. Lol So I ordered them again. They are excellent healthy choice instead of several different chocolate bars that I don’t really want to mention on here, so yes, they are chocolate covered but it’s a very good tasting chocolate OK well I hope this helps some people make a good decision. My second box should arriving any day, and by the way, the price is very reasonable

The candy bar is delicious!! Must be kept cold! This was not made clear by seller! Chocolate covering melts when in pantry, best kept in the refrigerator!!! Won’t order again if it arrives MELTED!!!

excellent choc covered halvah, almost as good as it used to be. good dark chocolate. freezes very well. but don't have it shipped when its hot in your location.

Delicious product and speedy delivery!

We used to get these as treats back when I was a kid back east, ...back when they were crescent moon shaped... and bigger!! I would find a batch locally every once in a while, and be in a "nostalgic flashback heaven" of my childhood days with these treats! Somehow, the product has changed over the years, but this batch was very dissapointing.... The chocolate coating did not survive the cross country trip from Florida to California in the middle of summer. (I should have thought about that before ordering!) Not only was it melted and coated the inside of the wrapper, the chocolate lost it's temper and never became solid again- even with refrigeration! It was like it was coated wth chocolate fudge syrup- gooey, sticky and smeared everywhere. The halva itself was either pretty old-or also reacted to the heat during transportation. The consitancy was like a more solid, sweet lumpy oatmel and it crumbled easily and didnt cut smoothly with a sharp knife. The corners and ends were hard/chewy and sticky (kinda like a "bad" malted milk ball that gets soft and chewey rather than staying airy and crispy) and it was not the usual halva inside- which is normally a smooth yet granular, crinkly consistancy. This stuff wasnt. There was no expiration date on the packages, so couldnt tell if it was fresh or expired merchandise. Would I buy it again? yes-probably would try buying it again- in the cooler weather- or buy more locally (cant seem to run into it locally, but I havent really tried too hard!) Will contact seller to discuss disappointing condition and revisit this review later... ************ FOLLOW UP ************* Was contacted by the seller and was given a 100% refund and an apology. It was very much appreciated. Even tho this purchase was a 1-star bust and a major disappointment, I would give the seller a 5-star rating for customer service and great business ethics. Thank you... I WILL order from you again!

Excellent item

Absolutely zero problems with my product received. I found no bars with oil leaked over it or mysteriously open wrappers as some reviewers have mentioned. Just delicious, fresh sweet Halvah that has brought back for me sweet memories of these found in our stockings on Christmas mornings....or if we were lucky, purchased on a special occasion. Only “problem” is they are soooo good you can’t help but eat em up fast :) Next time I promise to ration myself better. I have just two side comments strictly pertaining to shipping & not the actual Halvah product; First there was no ice pack in my shipment as it states is included, but I suppose it wasn’t necessary as it’s February as I write this review. Secondly I would prefer amazon packing team to had used a small box rather than the plastic envelope to not risk crushing this precious cargo which thankfully it wasn’t. Anyway don’t hesitate. These are hard to find by me and if you love chocolate covered Halvah this is an easy delicious choice that will make you happy!
