Easy to use and does a good job.

This jig is affordable and easy to use. Very accurate placement for dowel pin drilling in three different applications. All accessories are furnished and organized in a convenient plastic case. This is a good item to have for wood joinery.

This is a relatively solid resin-based tool that looks & feels good. I've played with it but haven't really built anything real yet. I dropped this down to four stars for build quality. The fence was not usable out of "packaging". One of the two captured nuts was offset such that the fence couldn't be attached. It was off about 1/8" inch which prevented the fence from being installed. I got lucky in that the nut wasn't pushed down enough (as opposed to pushed down too much). Light taps with a nail punch/hammer fixed it.

Works great but it’ll break if you drop it.

I tried one of the heavy metal jigs with clamps first, and while it was fine for side edges, it was practically impossible to use on the face of the matching board when making corners. That’s where this jig shines. It’s simple, accurate, and actually usable in real-world projects. Lining up holes is quick and repeatable instead of a frustrating and stressful. The build quality is solid, and I trust the holes will match up every time. If you want something that makes joining corners straightforward instead of a headache, this is the jig to get.

It does a good job for the price. When doing edge joints, its a little difficult to keep it flat on boards less than 1/2" thick. So your dowels end up being slightly angled. This can cause the joints to look a little sloppy, especially over the span of 3 or more boards. It's not the most durable jig either. I dropped it on a carpeted floor and one of the posts broke off. I glued it back on and it seems to work fine for now. There are definitely better dowel jigs on the market but it's pretty hard to beat the price of this jig.

I bought it but did not use it. I was buying it to use on dog ear farce boards, but it would not have drill the whole in the middle of the edger of the wood. but it was well made.

Have tried so many dowelling jigs. Much more expensive than the joint mate. This one is hard plastic. But so accurate and sturdy. Never had such satisfyingly perfect Dowel joints. Be it butt, corner or a T joint. Fantastic. My go to Dowel Jig for sure
