Let me start this review by saying that I'm not really going to discuss the technical merits of these lights because...well, they work. They turn on and off with the TV (if we so choose), and they turn on and off with the remote. There are lots of fun "effects," but we tend to leave it on the "gently changing color mode" (so it won't distract us from Moonshiners, or Gold Rush or Curse of Oak Island.) Our TV is 65", so I needed an additional strand of lights, but we love the way it lights up only what we want (and ignores the pesky cables running down the middle.)Anyway, back to the review: Since "everyone knows" pictures speak volumes, I asked hubby to snap 1 or 2 that show the effect of the lights around the TV...and he sent me 30. I'm not kidding...he became a regular cinematographer in there, even going so far as to VIDEO the lights (so you can see them change!) That's just how much he loves these silly things. Call it Christmas for the other 11 months, but they are a super fun (and cheap) investment that will bring you hours of good clean fun. Really.Oh, and the customer service people are delightful and responsive. I had a question for them and they responded by email within a day. What that means is...there's actually someone on the other end of this product!In terms of brightness, the photos are unretouched, meaning the brightness is what you get when the lights are out and the TV is on. They aren't so bright that they compete with the television picture for your attention, but they add a very nice glow that kicks viewing up a notch.The remote requires a traditional 2032 round battery and is super easy to access/change (not that we've had to change it yet, but we inspected the remote so we'd know what we'd need to do when the time comes!)In terms of application...it's a no-brainer. You just peel and stick. Done. If you make a mistake, you can reposition (as long as you don't wait too long) and the adhesive won't ruin your television. Of course, these stick to the back, so does it really matter?The picture in the product description doesn't do these justice...I'll just say that. You really can't go wrong on them, so just buy a set (or two) and light up your world.

I bought these for my son’s gaming monitor. I didn’t realize there were different sizes until I received them, so I was afraid they would be too big. I believe his monitor is 27” or so. I arranged the lights in 4 separate rows on the back & it worked out fine. They look nice with the lights off which is how he plays. Shipping was fast, everything worked fine, and they were easy to set up. I’ll attach a pic to show how they can be set up on a 27” monitor. We’ve only had them a few days so if they hold up I’ll be ordering another set for my TV.

This LED strip is awesome! Im quite impresed with its performance! The lights are nice and bright! The strip is divided into 4 pieces that connect with a special connector (included, and with clear instructions). I installed it behind my 40” screen and it looks fantastic! I love the way it makes the mounted TV look. The lights also come with a remote that allows you to change the color of the lights (16 color combinations) and even some light effects like fading through all the colors. There is also a “white” color setting, and like someone else mentioned already, the white tone is very close to blue. Not a dealbreaker for me. You also have brightness control using the controller (pictures shown show one of the lowest brightness settings, just my preference). Overall well worth it! I recommend this!

LEDs are bright and the colors are very tight, no bleed through. To use the remote you have to be in the line of site where the USB plugs into the strip. It includes 3 spacers that allow you to "bend" the strip around the corners. My wife thinks it looks dumb but she isn't a gamer and doesn't appreciate how important ambiance is to gaming.

His is a good lighting system for the back of the TV. I am using it in a 60”, which does not allow enough for the bottom of the tv but seems fine seeing as how it is in a stand. It uses short plug in wires to go around corners, visible in photo. Easy to install took about 5 minutes, the adhesive was very sticky and worked great. The lights come on and turn off with my tv which is a plus, although it takes about 30 seconds after the tv is shut off for the lights to go out. All that said when the color selection is white, it is not really white more of a blue-white I suppose you could say. Not a huge problem as I generally use the different colors but worth mentioning. I will most likely order more sets of these for other TVs I own.

You have no idea what you're missing until you have the backlight from these LEDs; It changes everything! Movies are just much more enjoyable, annoying white light in rooms can be left turned off but you can see enough still to move around, plus it's just plain cool! The led strips were extremely easy to attach to the back of tv (several months now with no problems) and it uses your TVs usb port. There is an attached remote to turn on/off, change from 12 different colors, or strobe/fade/etc. Great item for the price and I now have these on all my televisions at home!

So I bought this because I wanted the movie theater effect, it looked cool and I based that off of other reviewers pictures. These lights are cool and easy to set up however they do not stick!! I cleaned my TV before adding the lights to the back of it (per instructions and common sense). I had to apply numerous pieces of tape to the back of my TV for these lights to stay on. They also do not fit all away around the TV. The lights only work if you use the remote which is pretty disappointing. I know that my 1.5yo will eventually find my remote hiding spot (he finds the all the time!) and the remote will end up in his hiding spot which I have yet to find (clearly he's better at this game than me). I was hoping it would light up while the TV was on but it doesn't. You also have to stand very close to the TV for the remote to work. I guess you get what you pay for, he? Overall, pretty cool but could be way better! I'll have to keep looking for a good pair of lights to give me that movie theater effect.

One strip did not work, luckily I only wanted three. The sticky on the back of strips is not very strong so had to use extra double sided sticky tape to get it to stay on. Having said all that happy with the final outcome.
