Instant heat in a small area
Brilliant heater. Instant heat. Easy to move around. Good price. Looks good. Safe. Well packaged and super quick delivery. Iโve now got 3 in different rooms and 2 spares so I consider it to be perfect. Iโve not had to replace any tubes in 2yrs of use.

Heater
Great little heater I've had mine for over 2 years. i use it before I put the central heating on and I put it on in my front room it keeps it nice and warm until I go to bed and it's cheap to run less than 20p an hour.

A good heater for a good price
Light and compact. I donโt have a large living space but by no means a box room and this heats the space nicely. Comes with spare heating coils. Delivered on time and well packaged.

Easy for elderly use.
I was looking something easy to use for my elderly mum. This is so simple with just one dial which turns a notch for each setting. I tried it out first to make sure everything was working fine. The 1st bar was on and I could feel the heat instantly, and when the 2nd and 3rd came on, the heat was amazing, I knew this was perfect for my mum. She doesn't feel the heat like she used to and her electric blow heater was costing her around ยฃ60 a week to heat just her living room. She is going to save a fortune with this little heater. The only thing I was worried about was the brightness of the bulbs, they are blinding but she is ok with that so I guess its a small price to pay when she will be saving so much money on her electric bill. It came with 3 replacement bulbs which was fab. Its light and easy to move around, not sure if the build is 100% as it is so light it almost seems cheaply made but the reviews were good which is why I was drawn to buy this particular heater. As long as my mum is happy, she has warmth and is comfortable sitting in her wee house, I'm happy too. Will just have to wait and see if it will be a long lived item and if not I will update my review but its five stars for now.

So far so good - NOT GOOD AT ALL
Simple to put together, metal top where the ON knob is and it starts to get very hot to touch after 10 mins. STUPID place to put an ON switch! On a positive side, the fire is very powerful, its very small, would be ideal for a caravan or a static caravan, a small office or just one room. It's VERY bright, so either sunglasses on or don't look at it when its working. The heat can be felt from at least 3ft away on one bar alone. It comes with 3 extra halogen light bulbs, It burnt out one in 2 weeks, and it was only on for 1-2 hrs per day! It has a very slow turning semi circle it also has a cut off switch for when the fire wobbles or gets moved, This is extremely sensitive and the whole thing goes dead immediately. It MUST sit on a Wooden or Tiled Floor. It CANNOT sit on Carpets or Mats. It WONT WORK! As far as quality goes iT'S RUBBISH! I would expect the bulb to last more than 2 weeks from new! The mesh was a manufacturers fault for not being fitted correctly. Hanging out isn't what I'd expect to see from a new product. It hasn't got an overheat switch because its too cheap and nasty for that, it could do with one, it gets EXTREMELY HOT! The ONE THING THAT IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH IT IS - It has power surges. Mine was on a surge protection Unit, and had the Christmas lights plugged into it. They are on all the time, and when the Fire was in use, When you TURNED IT ON, OFF AND MOVED IT, it would knock the lights into the flashing modes it comes with. There is no problem with the lights, the transformator gets warm, but not hot, and its expected to happen like that. SO AVOID AT ALL COSTS? IT'S NOT SAFE!!!!!!

Good heaters - trick to replacing tubes though
I had a two year old Slim Belaco and the no1 n (centre) tube blew. I bought this identical one as it came with 3 free tubes (sneaky!) BUT there is little info out there yet on how to do the replacing of this heater's defunct tubes... I did check youtube, everyone frustrated by how hard it is to disconnect blown tubes. HOW I DID IT - unplug from mains!!!!! 1. remove c16 back screws (from back casing plate, not handle) Gently prize off respecting wires to both sides of unit to access front 2. Remove innnner protective mesh grid from unit (not the outer mesh cover grid; there's a 2nd one on the unit only gettble at once screws removeds as 1) by bending back the grid's retaining small front corner latches. All good so far. BUT as others found: 3 I could not then remove the blown non-functioning tube - it fits through each side of the unit and then its connectors (one each side of tube) fit into the unit's respective two wired sleeves. Google says try holding back wire sleeve with pliers and pull or use a tiny flat head screwdriver to free tube connecting plate. Neither worked for me as I am not strong. 4 So !!!!wearing gloves!!! I gently broke off the glass tube and removed it - still leaving its ceramic end caps connected. 5 Now I could prize up each of the two unit side's latches and swivel out the old tube's connection ends (ceramic white) each side. This let me better attack their slide connection to their wired sleeves. In the end as the glass was no longer present, I could now better use the tiny flat head screw driver (to slide in down the wired sleeve to hold down the retaining button that kept the tube's plate prong fitted in place - you'll see the hole when you look at the replacement tube's plates, each is slightly bigger than a pin head but it's these tiny things that are causing the removal problem). 6 Once the old tube's ends are pulled out with the help of the tiny screwdriver, the rest is easy (ish) the new tube can be slide and slotted in place, the unit's side latches put back down and so on... just reconnect everything up safely. 7 Replace the screws and test. Took me about 30 minutes. But as said: a highly recommended heater the best of them all - I've now three and they do save money. Silent and give out a nice light too. I have them on remote plugs to switch on and off when in bed, out of rooms. Great thing about them is the handle which makes them easy to move and carry. Also neat small design. :-)

Tube not working after 5 weeks
Great heater but tube only lasted 5 weeks, which is very disappointing. 3 smfree tubes supplied, but no instructions provided.

Nice looking heater and heats up the room quickly in a short time.I love the cosy glow and it saves putting the heating on.My only complaint is the very short lead.
