Smells like the apocalypse. Works like a dream
If youโve ever looked out at your gardenโonce a proud, civilized patch of earthโand seen it reduced to something resembling a salad bar for marauding deer, youโll understand the depth of my rage. Enter Bobbex Deer Repellent Concentrate, a product that doesnโt so much solve the problem as utterly humiliate it. Letโs be clear: this stuff smells like it was brewed in the very bowels of Satan after a particularly bad meal from Taco Bell. It is, without exaggeration, one of the most offensively pungent substances ever to grace a spray bottle. You will question your life choices. Your neighbors may question yours too. Small woodland creatures will file complaints. And yetโฆ it works. Spectacularly. The deer, those smug, velvet-antlered hooligans, take one whiff and promptly decide that perhaps starvation is preferable. Elk? Gone. Moose? Probably halfway back to Canada by now. Frankly, I suspect it would also keep away zombies, werewolves, and possibly that one relative who never leaves after dinner. Application is simple enough, though I strongly recommend not doing it upwind unless you fancy tasting despair. Once itโs on, however, your plants are effectively wrapped in an invisible force field of olfactory doom. So yes, it reeks. Itโs appalling. Itโs borderline chemical warfare. And it is absolutely brilliant.

It works!
This stuff does the job. I'll warn you that it stinks, but that's why the deer hate it. We have 28 arborvitae on each side of our yard that would be eaten up by the deer if not for this Bobbex deer repellant. It makes enough to spray our arborvitae 2x over the late fall & winter months.

The deer hate this smell; and so do I!
Do yourself a favor when you use this stuff: wear a ventilator and don't spill any. I now start to gag when I am near it. It is very effective, but not user friendly. I despise it's sent almost as much as the deer do. Yuck! But it does save your plants and trees from deer damage when applied regularly. Update: I ordered a new bottle from Amazon. It showed up unopened, tight lid, and a plastic wrap around it (although that had a tear in it), and the box stunk walking it in from the porch. We have it sitting by itself without the box in the garage, and the garage stinks of Bobbex. I may just take the jug outside near the trees we want to protect and store it there to keep the deer away. Not sure how it can smell so bad unopened, if some of the product spilled on the outside of the packaging at the factory, or what, or maybe the shipping was just too rough for something so smelly. I may but locally next time to ensure that it doesn't smell this bad on the outside of the jug.

Excellent results!!
This product stopped the 6 deer from completely destroying a long row of mature arborvitae bushes. Not only did I spray the bushes, I also soaked tennis balls in the liquid and strung them across the entry points the deer were using to enter my yard. Worked like a charm. Highly recommend.

Best deer repellent I have ever used
It's about the only stuff that works! I NEVER see deer eating my hostas any more WHEN I USE IT. To be clear: This stuff, when mixed and applied correctly is PERFECT...NO DEER or varmints go near my hosta plants. UNTIL IT RAINS! I forgot to apply it for two days after rain and the deer DID show up and ate a few plants. BUT....as soon as the rain stopped I reapplied it and POOF! Gone again the deer are....not a bite taken. I live in NW PA and we get lots of rain, but I run out after every rain and spray. Otherwise I've gone TWO WEEKS (again, when there's NO rain), and not a bite is taken off any plant. I've tried them all and THIS is the only stinky brew that works. I sprayed it in my eye accidentally when my old sprayer broke..It burns and I STUNK! But that's it. I do manage to spill it on myself or a bit on the garage floor and it stinks. But then I have animals in my garage now, either! Bada-bing, bada-boom...best stuff ever. I started with a 64oz last summer, this year (2025) it's 2.5 gallons, baby. Well worth it.

Works great, just... don't... smell it...
Dad had me buy this to stop Deer from eating his Hostas, product did just that. So when Deer munched some plants at my house I borrowed the jug to make a batch. I poured in the required amount, and added water, but for some reason my primitive cave man section of my brain thought... "Hmmm wonder what that smells like." Modern logicc section of my brain thought nothing of this and let it happen. First, there is some very strong egg that sat in the car on a hot July day smell, then a strong sent of I just ate asparagus and drank all of my daily 8 glasses of water urine smell. Then I started uncontrolled coughing... Tasting the egg/urine smell as I hacked. I threw up in my mouth a little and got notes of wintergreen. I went inside and wheezed a bit, and got myself together. As I sprayed the mixture I thought to myself how stupid I just was. While using it I smelled more wintergreen than anything else, it was a bit sour, but nothing like the concentrate. I smelled it... so you don't have to... there is no reason to try it, ... Unless you are mad at a child or a spouse ask them to smell it. Maybe put it on Youtube.
