I bought this head protector backpack for my baby who is starting to walk, and it has been a great help. It is very light, comfortable and fits perfectly without disturbing you. I love the pink butterfly design, it looks beautiful when you wear it 😍. The best thing is that it really protects the head when it falls back, so it gives me a lot of peace of mind while learning to walk. The materials are soft, breathable and easy to clean. I bought this penguin-shaped pillow for my niece, and I have never seen a more professional head protector in my life. This little penguin is like a bouncer for her noggin—if she falls, it’s like she’s getting a VIP, soft landing. Honestly, if you told me this penguin used to work in the Secret Service, I’d believe it. Before we had this little guy, my niece’s head was at risk of becoming a magnet for every corner of the coffee table. But now? She falls, and it’s like she’s hugging a fluffy iceberg. Not only does it protect her head, but the penguin also makes her look like a tiny adventurer from the Arctic, which is adorable. I’m convinced this penguin has some secret superpowers. Easy to use for safety concerns while being absolutely adorable. The straps are a little annoying which can move from side to side if it’s not extra tight, they’re bungee like. Very light weight for baby with good head cushion. But I did return…it just wasn’t practical for us. An extra hawk the can save you the money

Yes it does protect the back of your infants head. It would be fantastic if the product actually protected the forehead also.
