First of all, this soap WORKS. I had these hives all over my body in random spots. "Contact dermatitis" is the only answer I've ever gotten from multiple doctors. My skin breaks out randomly with no real explanation as to why and doing a patch test may or may not even work so no idea what I'm actually allergic to. Sometimes certain things that make me break out don't always make me break out so it's hit and miss. My immune system is weird and likes to attack itself randomly. In any case, some of the reviews say this soap smells bad. Does not. Smells like a musky lavender. For the love of God, take your gold and silver jewelry off before you use it. Sulfur will react with your jewelry and tarnish it, creating a layer of silver sulfide on your fine jewelry (fine silver and gold plated silver to be exact, steel will not tarnish). A tip for fixing your jewelry if you used this soap is aluminum foil. You can rub your jewelry with aluminum foil to counteract the sulfide it creates and it will fix the problem, shines it back to normal. Back to the actual review though, this soap for some reason helped my itchy skin. I can't tell you why, I'm not a doctor or a scientist but it did. If you're like me and have tried everything, try this. To me, it's worth a shot because I'd give anything to not be itchy. It just makes you more irritated and stressed, drives cortisol levels up and makes you more itchy. Make sure you moisturize after because it does dry your skin out. I have been using the eos lotion lately. It absorbs nicely without leaving a greasy layer. Hope this helps someone.

This soap has been an important part in my dealing with skin issues. It does its magic in a matter of days. I understand that the sulphur it contains is what makes a different. It has helped with my athletes foot infection, though it takes a little longer to notice a difference.

I bought this years ago after catching ring worm from a local gym. The gym claimed its UV lamps killed all sorts of microbes. Yeah right! Ring worm is like poison ivy but 1000x worse. My PCP put me on a 30 day dose of oral terbinafine and recommended a sulfur soap to speed up the healing. So I purchased this. The bar smells fine and has a unique flexability to it after a few uses. Most antifungal bars will leave you raw and dry. This soap was gentle and provided some relief from my symptoms. I used it as part of my daily regiment. Showers twice daily, natural antifungal shampoo from australia, lysol detergent for clothes and sheets. I was back to normal in about two weeks. I learned not to visit gyms that use UV light and only those who spray down their equipment with chemicals.

We have flocks of chicken, so it is inevitable that we get chicken mites on us. They do not bite, but my wife is sensitive to them and they make her itch. This sulfur and lavender soap quickly eases her itching and the lavender scent left behind is pleasant. It is made by the Mite-b-gone people so it is effective.

Edit: went to buy again but saw that it’s close to $25! Did I really buy bar soap for that much or did the price go up within the last few months? It’s good, but not THAT good. There are tons of other 10% bar soaps on this platform that are almost identical to this, but 1/4 of the price! Would buy again if the price was as more competitive. Took off another star for this reason. I did notice the smell that everyone is speaking of, but it’s not the rotten egg smell that I had thought it would be. It was more like a pack of matches. Very subtle tho and it went away the next day after shower before bed. Probably not good to use before a snuggle session. But I’m single, so doesn’t matter to me. Also, my bathroom did smell in the morning first few times using it. Now I don’t even smell it, but maybe others would. That was using it on my full body cause it made my already dry skin dryer. Just had to make sure you use moisturizer right after or my skin may have shattered. Now just use on the face and am very happy. Took off a star due to the dryness it makes me. But it’s all relevant to ur skin type anyways.

Absolutely the best for bug bites. It will tarnish your jewelry though.

Went to the beach and broke out in hives from touching the sand... this soap has it cleared up and no longer itchy within 8 days of use. It would have probably worked sooner if I washed the area at least twice a day, but once daily is working for me. The quality is great, and while the smell may be unpleasant, using another bodywash or soap after helps . It doesn't leave the skin too dry and has worked way better than hydrocortizone for soothing the itchiness.

Bought for my perioral dermatitis and it seems to dry it up. I would recommend
