Funky Friends Factory Melody Memory Bear Sewing Pattern

Great little pattern - can't wait to get started. Includes a video link so you can actually see what she's doing...for those like me who really can't read a pattern to well (not the simplest directions for non sewers) -but watching video makes it doable. So cute - can't wait to get started. Update: I did it! Made a bear from quilt scraps first (before I attempt to cut up my grandkids clothes) - the online is not a video but a step by step with pictures of what to do - it was easy to follow. The picture is larger than the pattern because I copied it to 125% larger (was worried I might not be able to sew the smaller pieces) but will use the regular pattern size to make the memory bears with kids clothes. I did not attach eyes and nose since it's just a trial bear...but I did learn that you don't cut the notches too long when cutting out the pattern - just a short snip will do otherwise you can't sew your bear with a small seam (experienced sewers will already know this I'm sure)

Turned out super cute! I watched a YouTube video but the pattern was great. Laminated it for future uses. Will be making more.

The concept of a memory bear is something I had never heard of. I love the idea of offering this to friends who have lost loved one. The instructions were easy to understand and the bears really are easy to make.

My mom died this past year, which is what prompted me to order this pattern. I haven’t sewn anything outside of my 6th grade home ec class, and I am now 29, which should tell you a lot about my level of experience/learning gap. I did have to watch an unofficial tutorial video before I started so I wouldn’t psych myself out, because the company only offers step by step photos. Search and you can find some more help! I’m really proud of this little dude! Hoping my nephew has many memories with him.

I kept seeing reviews on how amazing this pattern was and I found a YouTube video based on the pattern so I had to find the pattern. They had fast shipping and handling from Amazon and it was much cheaper than other websites and so I bought it from Amazon. Shipping was fast and simple and I definitely buy these kind of products from Amazon 1st.

This pattern makes the cutest bear. A little difficult to follow at times, but if you refer back to the pattern pieces and letters, it comes together nicely.

I like the way the instructions are presented. Well organized in the building of the bear. Pattern pieces are well marked and are vital in the construction of the bear.

This is such a cute pattern and bigger than I expected. I used the pattern to make 4 memory bears from my Mom's clothes for myself and my sisters after my Mom passed away. So cute and will be forever cherished.

Easy instruction perfect for beginner Really love this pattern

I wanted some memory bears and thought I'd have a go at making them myself. I haven't used a sewing machine since I was 13/14 yesterday old, so nearly 30 years, and found this such an easy pattern to follow. Ideal for a first timer.

Love this pattern, have made a tester bear to see how i get on before making a memory bear for a friend. Ive only been sewing since july and found this pattern pretty straight forward with help from their websites step by step instructions. Delivery arrived earlier than expected and was well packaged.
