XIAWEI One Way Window Privacy Film with Tools, 17.5In×6.5Ft, Cosmic Black

Purchased for our front storm door. Our home faces south east and the afternoon sun is very strong on the front of our home. I could never leave our front door open to see outside in the afternoon because of the intense heat. This window film helps cut down that heat substantially. Installation was straight forward. Cut the material to fit your window and follow the directions. Removing bubbles and creases was quite easy. (again, follow the directions) It is one way privacy, so you can see out but no one can see inside. It is reflective but not mirrored.

My second order. I've been waiting for the summer heat to see which windows needed the tint most. It's a great product. Whoever came up with the idea to leave the marked tape in the corner is a genius! I just press the tape on the corner and the film pulls off. But be careful while removing the film. The back of the tint is sticky. I screwed up a whole cut sheet because it bent onto itself and stuck together. I got the 50 and can see through clearly. I'm glad the window glare is finally off my TV. It's making a huge difference in how much heat is getting in. It will definitely lower my electric bill.

Easy to apply however question why spray the windows with soapy water

This film was fairly easy to install. I would recommend a second person, although I did it myself. If you have large windows or doors you may need help. I appreciate that all the tools needed came with the product! The appearance is not terrible, but for some reason I could not get every bubble out even after squeegying over several times! It was a bit difficult to hold up the film and apply it and pull the protective covering off. Hence the second person may be needed. Visibility wise you can see well through the film. It gives a great tint. The room i installed this in cooled down considerably after installing. Thickness is standard i suppose for this material. It was really easy to cut using the small blade provided. Not sure how well or how long it will last but for now it works great!

Definitely recommend doing this as a two person job. The film will cling to itself if you’re not careful and then it’s a real pain to fix it from there. In hindsight, probably should’ve spent more for a better product.

The reflective film is a game changer! I didnt think it would make as much difference as it does. I have windows in my kitchen that are west facing and the afternoon sun is brutal. Blinds havent helped much so I gave reflective film a try. I was putting it up in the afternoon, and even before it was properly applied I could feel the difference just standing in front of it! Its worth noting that this is a simple but extremely tedious process. If you dont use enough soap: bubbles. Dont use a decent squegee to smooth it out: bubbles. Dirt on the glass: bubbles. Dont get the protective film off? Doesn't stick properly AND bubbles. It takes time, and its tedious to do it properly, but its so so worth it. Ive added a pic of two windows taken at the same time, one with film and one without and you can see the brightness difference. The heat difference is even more impressive. Get the film, buy a decent squegee, and youll be set.

Window frosting works as intended. Let's the light pass through but obscures the view. If you're looking for a cheap fix to end a shower peep show in your apartment, this is it. If you want privacy in you million dollar home though, this will look like a cheap fix- buy factory frosted windows instead. I put it in my shower window and it's held up well for two years now. While It still adheres, it has shown signs of mildew growth around the bottom edge that gets the most water. I think of it like a shower curtain liner in that it needs replaced ever so often due to the wet environment. For windows in dry areas though, it lasts indefinitely. I put it on my half glass entry door but left a slit i can still look through, which from the outside is almost unnoticeable. If you have a removable window grid, take it out and install over the whole glass panel, then reinstall the grid.

Ya not so easy to install. The bubbles are sooooo hard to smooth out. Definitely a two man job. So in order to get the bubbles out of the corner, you have to pull the film off of the window.And then when you're putting it back on the window, when it's clinging, you have to be smoothing it and reclinging it to the window at the same time, otherwise you cannot just put it on, and then think you're gonna smooth the bubbles out, because my husband's been doing one corner for ten minutes.And it doesn't want to smooth out.This is not as easy as we thought it was gonna be.The video that it shows the description on how to install it.It must be AI because it's not real. It keeps drying out really fast.You have to continuously spray spray spray spray spray, smooth spray smooth.It is monotonous, and it gives you pain and cramps in your arms. But the blackout feature looks pretty good

As indicated in the instruction, the more water the better. Then installation is pretty straightforward. It does reduce light and heat noticeably as promised.

Was hoping to avoid any and all adhesive residue on the windows, this won't work well for windows as it still lets in a lot of light. We were however able to make use of it for dimming a night light slightly.

Junk product. Really poor quality. Should be a $1 or $2 for the quality. Does not adhere well to the window.
