Apocaps - Bulk Pricing More Affordable for Large Breed Dogs
This review has been updated many times over the last few years to provide current updates on how my miracle boy is doing. We are so grateful!!! Beau turned 10 years old today (July 17, 2015) and he is as comical, active, & loving as ever. No sign of Cancer in over four years. Here is our story... My little boy Beau (125 pounds) was a 5 year old blockhead Chocolate Labrador when he had his first Mast Cell Tumor (MCT) surgically removed February 28, 2011. He had his second MCT surgically removed exactly 8 weeks later on April 25, 2011. The second was much more active & grew from the size of a grape to the size of a tennis ball in less than a week. It was diagnosed as a tumor in the lymph node indicating the Cancer had metastasized (spread throughout his vital organs making it fatal). My Vet explained the second tumor was a Grade III & much more aggressive than the first. The prognosis was grim. The Vet gave my Beau only 3-6 months, closer to 3, before the Cancer would take his life. I prayed so hard for a healing of my little boy's body. I prayed harder than I've ever prayed for anything in my life. I have faced more than my fair share of heartaches & challenges, but this heartache was more than I believed I could bear. To lose Beau at such a young age would have been to weaken the very faith that has led & sustained my life for almost 50 years. I was praying for a miracle although I couldn't see how God could answer my prayer because according to my Vet, it was already too late medically to save Beau. I decided against a biopsy because there didn't seem to be any point in getting this devasting news twice. The thought of hearing those words again was too overwhelming. After 3 days in a haze of grief & disbelief, I asked my Vet to send Beau's tumor to the lab for a biopsy. Again I was told there was no point as my Vet diagnosis Cancer on almost a daily basis and she was 99.9% sure of her diagnosis/prognosis. I don't know how to explain it, but I needed a second diagnosis before I could start preparing to lay my otherwise seemingly healthy & happy baby boy to rest in 3 months. I know the odds of beating a 99.9% diagnosis/prognosis, but I couldn't move forward with ensuring quality of life for the time we had left together until the diagnosis/prognosis was 100%. Everything that could go wrong & right did. Beau's tumor had been thrown in the dumpster at the Vet's office. A tech who knows the love & care I have for my dogs went dumpster diving to try to find the tumor not knowing if it had already been picked up by the trash truck. Luckily the trash truck was running late & the tumor was located close to the top. The tumor went to the lab, but the results were somehow lost & my Vet didn't receive them. Either the results were found or a new biopsy was performed (I'm not sure which) & finally after a couple of weeks the results arrived. My Vet waited until the end of the day to open the envelope because she knew how devasted I was & dreaded giving me the bad news again. It was 5p.m. when she called me. All she could say was, "I have never been so happy to be so wrong." The tumor she removed was located on the prepuce muscle. It was not a lymph node, but the surgery had not produced clean margins. The tumor was a Grade II, not a terminal Grade III as she had thought. Beau would need staging tests because of the dirty margines & to determine if the Cancer had metastasized. Miraculously, Beau's staging tests in May all came back clean. There was no sign of Cancer in any of Beau's vital organs or bone marrow. In fact, all the tests came back at healthy levels unseen in patients who have experienced Cancer. The Oncologist recommended chemo & radiation at the surgical sites just to be sure we covered all the precautions modern medicine could offer. Beau did not fair well with the anesthesia & the whole Cancer ordeal had terrified him repeatedly. He was trying in every way he knew to tell me he was not a candidate for chemo or radiation. I love my baby with every ounce of my being & as much as I could not bear the thought of failing him by not exploring all the options, I knew all the medical procedures had taken their toll on him. It was time I accepted the miracle we had been granted & put a stop to Beau's unnecessary suffering. I believed God blessed me and Beau with the miracle healing I prayed for & the staging tests confirmed this was true. Though Beau had been healed, he still needed a nutritional diet & supplements to help rebuild the healthy immune system commercial dog food & unfiltered tap water had almost destroyed. I found Dr. Dressler's book & Dog Cancer Diet during my research for alternative care that didn't involve constant Vet visits, invasive medical procedures, & toxic chemicals. I now prepare all of Beau's food (as well as my other canine babies) in my kitchen using only fresh, high-quality human grade ingredients. My little girl lab (Haley Grace) has been overweight for years & for the first time, she's losing weight without being hungry & without chemicals. She's lost 11 pounds in 10 weeks. I cannot say enough about how Dr. Dressler's recommendations & Dog Cancer Diet have improved my babies' lives. I am thankful every day I wake up with my babies there to greet me. God healed my baby & Dr. Dressler taught me how to keep all of my babies healthy. Although my Vet & Oncologist fully expected the Cancer on Beau's prepuce muscle to regrow within a few weeks, we've seen no sign of Cancer. My miracle boy (Beau) just celebrated his 6th birthday this past Sunday and it was a very joyous day for all of us. On Monday, July 25, 2011 we will celebrate Beau being completely illness free for 3 months. Apocaps are a daily part of Beau's wellness plan. If price is a concern for you as it was for me, you may wish to contact Functional Nutrients at 888.936.4226 to inquire about bulk pricing for a large breed dog weighing 60.1 pounds or more. Bulk pricing requires a minimum of 10 bottles per order at a cost of $400 (1/3 off the expense of purchasing single bottles at $59.99 each). While this may seem like a lot to order at one time, a large breed dog will need 10 bottles every 90 days. The price break is well worth the bulk order. Dr. Dressler also recommends Krill Oil & K9 Immunity in addition to Apocaps. I substitute Mega EPA/DHA for the Krill/Fish Oil. I purchased Mega EPA/DHA from Life Extension dot com today at only $6.98 per bottle for 120 softgels. This is an exceptional value that greatly reduces the Krill Oil expense and supplies more EPA/DHA than Krill or Fish Oil. I also purchased the 500 count K9 Immunity for only $208 at Dog Cancer dot net. This is a much better value than purchasing the smaller bottles at $49.95 each. These are both fabulous options to reduce the cost of supplements for your Pet (hairy baby) who has experienced a Cancer diagnoses. One issue you may experience with Apocaps & Dr. Dressler's recommendations is that few Vets have ever heard of Apocaps or Dr. Dressler therefore I have been providing all of my Vet Care Professionals with a copy of Dr. Dressler's book & Dog Cancer Diet Plan. All have been skeptical at first offering their unkind, unsolicited comments about natural diets and supplements in the fight against Canine Cancer, but most have come back later to ask questions/discuss what they originally said they did not have the time to read. DO NOT LET ANYONE TELL YOU WHAT WILL "NOT" WORK if trying something new will do no harm & could help. It's important to be the leader in your dog's health care even when faced with criticism & a grim prognosis. After all, it is your baby they are being paid to care for. Ultimately all of the decisions & consequences of those decisions are born by you and/or your dog baby. My babies deserve nothing short of the best & I have learned the hard way that it is my job & my job alone to ensure that is exactly what they receive. MY MIRACLE BOY BEAU WILL BE 10 YEARS OLD ON 7.17.2015. HE REMAINS CANCER FREE & LOVING LIFE !!!!!!!

Apocaps is a miracle for my dog
My dog was diagnosed with maligant cancer October 2012. The tumor, the size of a tennis ball was removed surgically. She then had to have a flap to cover the gaping hole left by the tumor. This flap made from skin from her leg died. She underwent a second surgery 10 days later to repair the dying flap and make a new flap from her belly skin. The surgical site then became infected that we had a daily apt with the vet for about a month. Her prognosis was guarded. When she recovered to the point of eating a little by herself, I started her on Apocaps. She has been on them about 3 months now and she is doing great. She is full of energy, eats like a trooper, sleeps wells and looks younger. Due to the nature of the massive invasive surgeries she has not been out walking as she normally would but she has been ripping the floor boards in the hall as she is using it like a race track. Her weight is back to normal and I am glad I tried Apocaps based on some of the reviews here and I plan to continue to use then. UPDATE: 3/18/2013 My dog is still doing well. She went walking today. She still continues to sleep and eat well. She is very lively and happy and is still using my hall as a race track. It has been 5 months since this nerve sheat cancer thing started and honestly I did not think she would be here today. I continue to give her 3 apocaps twice a day (with liverwurst) plus k9 immunity, reverse osmosis water, organic meats, broccoli, cauliflower etc. I should add that she did not receive chemotherapy (because the tumor would not respond to it) nor radiation because of the skin flap, plus this dog is a very old senior. UPDATE: 4/18/2013 My dog continues to be doing great. She is out walking daily. She is walking any where from 12 to 18 blocks daily. Her hair is still growing back in. She looks great . All she wants to do is hit the streets and go, go, go. I am now buying Apocaps in bulk. Will update in a few months from now. UPDATE: 7/18/2013 Still going strong. It has been almost been 9 months since the horrible diagnosis. Her vet apts have been pushed out to 6 months instead of 3 months. She is back to her old self. UPDATE: 9/23/2013 Back at the vet's last week as my dog was having some medical issues, could not walk. Dr. thought the cancer was back. Ultrasound showed something on her liver. X-rays came back clean. Blood work good, liver enzymes a little out of the normal range. Seems she just had back pain!!! Besides this incident she is doing well. She celebrated her 20th birthday on August 29, 2013. Today her Dr. added milk thistle to her diet. Still buying Apocaps in bulk. UPDATE: 11/2/2013 October 30, 2013 is my dog's first year anniversary since her surgery for maligant cancer. She is still doing well. She is travelling on vacation currently and loving it. Her diet has not changed and she is still on Apocaps and will continue to do so. Will update a few months from now. UPDATE: 3/19/2014 My dog had an apt with her surgeon yesterday. She got a clean bill of health. She is back to her usual pre diagnosis weight. Her hair has all grown back. Her energy is great. She is still taking 3 apocaps twice daily and using Dr. Dresslers diet. It has been almost 17 months since the surgery and I think the apocaps and the diet has kept my dog going. In August she will be 21 years of age. UPDATE: 5/16/2014. Sadly, my dog passed on May 4, 2014.

12 year old, small, female dog with Mast cell cancer. Doing well so far.
Our little Sooner is a 12 1/2 year old 15 lb. female Rat Terrier/Chihuahua (?) mix rescue that has been our joy for 12 years. On 11-19-18, she had surgery to remove a malignant mast cell tumor and two other smaller subcutaneous lumps that turned out not to be cancer. The good news is the surgeon got all of the cancerous tumor and she recovered and healed up well. The not so good news is that the pathology report graded the mast cell material as "high" grade. That means a faster growing more aggressive cancer than we had hoped and an assumption that it could well have already spread to liver? spleen? So we had a decision to make. Because dogs often do not experience the bad side effects of chemotherapy like people do, we are not opposed to using it as a tool against canine cancer. Unlike people, many dogs (80% I have read) actually experience no side effects from the chemotherapeutic agents used. I have witnessed this myself. Our dog, Captain, a rescued 45 pound American terrier mix, had surgery for hemangiosarcoma and we followed up with a course of chemo: one day a week, every other week, for a total of 5. It was truly amazing! My main concern was that he not suffer and I monitored him closely for any sign of side effects/upset/discomfort, but saw none. Dogs can't talk, but you can tell a lot by behavior and body language. His eating, sleeping, playing, energy, and all bodily functions stayed normal throughout the chemo and afterward. Having seen people go through human chemo, the difference is astounding. Captain lived almost 2 more years happy and healthy and in good spirits, so we have no regrets at all about his surgery and treatment. In his case it was a good outcome and the chemo extended his life with excellent quality. Sooner is a different case. It's a different cancer and her prognosis was not good with, or without the chemo. So I spent many hours online researching nutraceuticals, supplements, diet, etc. We decided to make sure we eliminate corn, wheat, and soy completely. For many years she has gotten no food, or treats made in China. I eliminated cowhide chews made anywhere a couple years ago. A nurse friend said the processing of the cow hides may involve chemicals that are carcinogens, so I took the side of caution and stopped using cowhide chews. Sooner gets a human grade Omega 3 fish oil blend. And she is just about finishing her first container of Apocaps CX. She eats 2 meals a day, morning and evening, and gets her capsules at non-meal times with a small amount of food at 11a.m. and 11p.m. which, I've read, are thought to be peak absorption times. (Some supplements are best given with meals and some are better given between meals.) So... Sooner seems to be doing well so far on the Apocaps . She eats, drinks, eliminates well; has good energy; seems in good spirits. She still plays as much as can be expected for a little dog going on 13. I am looking at other supplements that might be beneficial in her case. Perhaps mushroom extracts? There's a mountain of information online to sort through and many many products. Anyway, so far so good with the Apocaps. Just ordered a second container of Apocaps to arrive today. Hoping she continues to do well, we are grateful for and enjoying each day.

Extremely helpful and something I'd recommend looking into if your dog has been diagnosed with Cancer.
My dog was diagnosed with cancer caused by a Mast Cell Tumor (MCT) found on the top of her paw in September 2016. With my dog being 10 years old and a little heavy set on her backend, amputation was not an option we considered taking. Not only is my pup a nervous wreck but having a major surgery like this was just not the route we wanted to take because not only would this be a traumatic experience for her to go through but she'd have a long and difficult road to recovery, all to tell us what stage her cancer was at and hope it had not spread. Not happy with our choices which also included chemo and radiation treatments, I picked up a copy of the Dog Cancer Survival Guide where i learned about Apocaps. In a nutshell, Apocaps helps dogs unlock a natural biological process in their bodies called apoptosis, which helps to safely and naturally dismantle and clear old and damage cells from the body. In this case, cancer cells. After reading the reviews on Amazon and reading up on this apoptogen forumula, feedback was extremely positive and worth a shot. I contacted my veterinarian and she gave me the green light to use as an alternative treatment. As of now, we are at the end of February 2017 and my dog, Pebbles, is doing great. Her MCT rarely changes in size, although weather is a contributing factor which we've noticed directly affects the size of her MCT but for the most part it has remained the same size as when we first noticed it. Her body is responding well to Apocaps with no side effects. She still has the same amount of energy she's alway had and seems to be doing well. If you are considering this as a treatment for your dog who's recently been diagnosed with cancer I'd highly recommend picking up a copy of The Dog Cancer Survival Guide, reading up on all treatments and options available, and learning more about how they will ultimately affect your dog. For me, we were able to give our dog a senior screening which included blood work, along with a sonogram which also came back negative and told us this disease had not begun to affect any of her major organs. The vet was also able to take an aspirate sample from Pebbles leg higher up which was able to tell us her cancer had not spread through her leg. Had I not purchased the book first and foremost, I would not have known my alternative options and I would not have learned about Apocaps which have been extremely helpful and something I'd recommend looking into for your dog.

Many bonus months together thanks to Apocaps
This was recommended for me by a book on canine cancer I read shortly after our 14-year-old lab mix was diagnosed with Anal Sac Cancer last May. We elected to have the tumor removed as it was affecting her quality of life, but did not remove lymph nodes due to her age/cost/recovery time/and the likelihood that the cancer had already spread beyond those lymph nodes. The prognosis was that she would live 4-8 months post-surgery. That was 9 months ago, and she is still going strong and getting ready to turn 15! I credit Apocaps and Blue Buffalo Fish and Sweet Potato dry dog food with the incredible quality of life she's maintained for the past 9 months. We accidentally changed dog food (to another premium brand) for two days, and I could see a visible decline in her health - crazy! - which reversed as soon as we went back to Blue Buffalo. (I had read that the least-processed food you can find is what's best for cellular apotosis). She gets 4 apocaps a day (she weighs 45 lbs) - 2 in each of 2 meals. She's also on an NSAID (Deramaxx) for arthritic pain, and has been for several years--which she gets in her 3rd meal each day (in order to space out the meds). We have not had any complications from the medicine and the Apocaps. Even our good friend a Veterinary Specialty Surgeon said on a recent visit/beach trip that she's amazingly energetic/well, and loving life and that "there's no reason [we] can't continue letting her run at the beach and park!" Thank you, Apocaps, for extending the life of our beloved girl. My hope was for one last summer together...and now we've also enjoyed fall, Christmas/New Year's...and may see the arrival of spring together. Such a blessing. Also, as a side note, for my most recent order, I came home from work travels on a Friday night to discover we were going to run out of Apocaps on Sunday morning. Prime shipping automatically offered to deliver them on Sunday (who delivers on Sunday?!?), and they were at our door before she even missed a dose! AMAZING! I could not be more grateful.

Works for us!
How do you know if things like this really work? Our experience proves to me this product works. Our 12 year old GSP was diagnosed with cancer in July 2020. He had a CT scan that showed a very large tumor at the start of his intestinal tract that had wrapped around his spine and metastasis to other organs (liver, spleen). They sent him home saying make him comfortable; it won't be long. I ordered the APO Caps that night and he started on them 2 days after he was sent home. I thought, "It can't hurt.". It is now mid-October and he has had a wonderful, happy few months. These really seem to help. He has been going for short walks. He seems happy. Doesn't seem to be in too much pain. He is also on Gabapentin, tramadol and rimadyl. I also think the gabapentin is really helping. So about 5 days ago, we ran out. He was without the APO Caps for 4 days. He tanked! He wouldn't eat anything...even steak I cooked for him. He wouldn't get out of his bed. Didn't want to go for his walk. And there was blood in his urine. The APO Caps came yesterday. He's had one dose. This morning he is up and about. He is happy and feeling good. He's eating. He played in the yard a bit. Still some blood in the urine, but I swear it's less. The only thing that changed was the APO Caps. I know my dog isn't long for this world. It makes me very sad. But if I can use this product to allow him more time and more quality time, it's worth every penny. I'm a true believer.

An honest opinion from someone who has done a ton of research....and my pup's advocate
My dog was diagnosed with mast cell cancer in the last month. She has 3 tumors that are very small and surgery is not an option because two of the tumors (one over her eye, the other on her rectum) would be difficult to operate on. I have been gathering information about options for her treatment and iduring this research stumbled upon Dr. Dressler's book "Dog Cancer Survival Guide" which definitely has some valid, useful information for pet owners. I also have consulted with her primary vet, 2 oncologists, and a holistic vet for alternative methods that might at least eradicate some of the cancerous tissue or reduce tumor size. My dog has been on a combo of oral medications (benadryl and tagamet) and on supplements (CAS Options, Cellular Forte Max, curcumin, krill oil). I also put her on a raw diet with vegetables. She was on Kinavet for a week and 1/2 and I stopped that treatment because it wasn't beneficial for her, nothing changed, if anything, there was a spot on her muzzle that looked like a tumor/or something might be starting so I discontinued usage of this medication. I was reading about Apocaps in Dr. Dressler's book. The reviews were intriguing and promising, both in the book and on Amazon, but I didn't want to overkill with pills, so I put off starting her on Apocaps, even though I did order the product in the interim. Prior to using Apocaps, I have checked her tumors everyday and they seem to be stabilized if not shrinking somewhat with her current regimen. One of the oncologists I visited prescribed prednisone for her with a very low dosage. Because of my experience with Kinavet, I have been a bit gun shy with the hard core medication since she has been doing well with diet and supplements. I thought I would give Apocaps a try instead of the prednisone. The ingredients looked great and it contained many of the cancer fighting agents I read about in Dr. Dressler's book, plus I felt that it wouldn't be as harsh on her system as prescription medication. Unfortunately, I was part of the percentile that did not have a very good experience with Apocaps. I used the product for 1 1/2 days. Yesterday, I gave my dog 1/2 the recommended dose (2 pills) to monitor her reaction. No vomiting or diarrhea which I thought was a good sign. This morning when I woke up, one of the tumors looked a little bigger but nothing worrisome. So, I decided to start the recommended dosage for her weight and gave her two capsules with breakfast and I was planning on giving her another two in the evening. Two hours later, we came back from a walk and there was a swelling the size of a small egg on her abdomen which was definitely not there in the morning! I gave her a benadryl and a curcumin supplement immediately to reduce the release of what I believe to be an histamine overload of some sort. Hopefully, it was only a reaction and not the signs of another permanent tumor growth. Though Apocaps may be good for some dogs, they were definitely not good for her! Just make sure if you decide to make Apocaps part of your dogs protocol that you keep an eye on your BFF and feel for anything out of the ordinary along with monitoring vomiting/diarrhea that some pet owners experienced with the product. I'm just writing this review to alert people that the product is definitely potent even though it is considered a supplement! Like humans, each dog responds differently to cancer treatments. My advice is to proceed with caution and be vigilant in monitoring behavioral and physical changes when administering Apocaps!

I think my dog had a reaction to these
I bought these apocaps after buying and reading the cancer book that recommended them. I was hopeful they'd work for my pug, Oliver, who's been fighting mandibular osteosarcoma for four years. We've tried a lot of things and some things worked for short periods of time, and one thing we did worked for two years in controlling the growth of the tumor. His tumor is in his lower jaw, so I can see it and easily monitor what it's doing. So when his body got used to the method that had been keeping the tumor under control for the past two years, the tumor started growing like crazy and sprouted a couple super ugly, bloody tumors next to the it. So I bought the cancer book and started following the instructions therein. He's been on a homemade raw diet for these past four years, but I followed the book's instructions and started lightly cooking his meat. Veggies remained raw and blended. I mixed the apocaps with organic cottage cheese twice per day in between his meals. He LOVED it! He's a pretty finicky eater, but he had no problems adjusting to the new regimen. The two smaller tumors burst, but I didn't notice any significant change in the main tumor. Then he stopped eating about four weeks and two bottles into the apocaps. The tumor was bleeding and oozing excessively, and I could see he was suddenly going downhill fast. I felt his neck and there was a HUGE lump in his throat and the tumor had spread along the lower part of his jaw. I immediately stopped the apocaps and went to my plan B, which is a suggestion in the book; the doxycycline. My vet prescribed them for me, and I started Oliver on them. Almost immediately the swelling in his throat went away and I realized it had been an inflamed lymph node. The tumor, or maybe it was an infection, on the bottom of his jaw-line went down immediately, too, and his appetite slowly came back. So two weeks later and the bigger tumor looks a tad smaller, and isn't bleeding anymore. His apetite is almost insatiable, and he looks almost like his old self again. I think my dog had an allergic reaction to these pills, or something like that. I just thank goodness that the dog cancer book has a lot of options in it and I'm not blaming the creator of these pills for Oliver's reaction. The reviews suggest it doesn't work on all dogs. We're looking into more treatment options that aren't mentioned in the book since Oliver can only be on the doxycycline for two weeks then has to come off them for two weeks. I'm afraid the cancer is going to regain control if I don't do SOMETHING for these next two weeks.

Appocap-👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My dog was diagnosed with Hepatocellula Carcinoma in 2018,May. He almost went into comma but I consistently have her giving him Appocap along with good diet, Probiotics & Milk Thistle. He had another crisis this year in July, but with his will to live and all my dedication and APPOCAP, my baby is still happy and enjoying his life with me. Don’t lose your hope in your baby.
