BambooMN Brand - Matcha Tea Whisk Holder - Black

I confess I didn't want to spend a lot of money on this, since my matcha whisk had been sitting unopened and untouched for ages and I didn't know if I'd use both a lot or once in a blue moon. I had decided to buy some matcha and figured might as well take care of my NIB whisk by getting one of these. So I got this, washed this, washed my whisk, and got ready for my first at home cup of matcha... and once I got ready to set my freshly cleaned whisk on this I realized I had to idea if I should place this on a tray or plate to catch any drips. I did, just in case. Unfortunately given the heat, hot tea isn't something I want all that frequently. My whisk and this sit in my kitchen drawers, again waiting to be used.

Perfect whisk holder. Seems durable and of high quality. Easy to clean and holds my matcha whisk perfectly.

Product has a slightly creamier/darker off-white color than photo (which I actually preferred). Perfect size for my chawan. Would buy again if anything ever happens to this one!

Love the sleek,minimal design. I thought it would feel very light but the weight is just right so its not easily knocked over on the countertop.

Fits my whisk just as it should, lets it dry and keeps it shaped properly. I took off one star because it has a slightly brown cast, so is not as intensely black as I had hoped. This is most likely due to the brown slip over which the glaze was painted. You can see the internal color on the foot, which was left unglazed, but this is only visible if you turn the rest over. I wouldn't care quite so much, except that I was hoping it would match the black of the other pieces I have around it. Just a personal preference, not really a fault. Not sure if this is stated anywhere, but it was made in China.

This item serves its purpose just as described. It is a smart addition to my other Matcha Green Tea making implements. This whisk stand neatly cradles my bamboo whisk (purchased elsewhere on the web) and aids in aligning both the inner and outer the bristles so that each batch of tea is mixed perfectly. I am equally happy that the item is manufactured here in the USA - not that I have any reservations about other manufacturers abroad - its simply nice to find one made here in the USA.
