59-06201 Magnum FORCE Cold Air Intake System Replacement Vent Tube Insert

After installing an intake on my 2018 F-150 Raptor I got a check engine code, which is normal due to lower vacuum pressure through the PVC system. Installing this into the drivers side valve cover where the PCV tube enters takes 10 minutes and eliminates the issue by increasing vacuum. This tube is provided by AFE when you buy their intake but it will work to solve the problem with any aftermarket intake you install as long as you angle the tube properly. Mine happens to be an S&B closed intake. 4 months and 3k miles later, no return code. Does not affect aftermarket tunes.

I installed one of the K&N typhoon intakes on my 2020 F150 3.5 Ecoboost and got a CEL for crank case pressure ventilation. After reading into it, the CAI dropped the vacuum from the stock airbox just enough to throw off the readings of the PCV system. I dropped this into the intake pipe where the PCV hooke up to the turbo inlet, and my cel cleared it self in about 5 miles. That was 10k ago and it hasn’t come back. Install is super easy and straight forward. It let me keep the sweet sounds of the CAI instead of going back to the stock setup. The quality of the part is decent, but it is made of plastic. It is fairly thick walled, so I don’t see it being an issue any time soon. Definitely a great value for the money, and doesn’t require gluing in place like the K&N tube does.
