What type of cleaning solution do you recomend?

I don’t use any chemicals, the turbulence of the compressed air itself will do a great job removing dust, hair, and debris from carpet and car interiors.

Can I buy a 3/4 adapter and use it?

you can but you need an adapter in-between

Safe to use on a couch?

I wouldn’t be afraid to use it on a couch. Even with 90 psi of air pressure, the air coming out of the gun isn’t violent enough to be destructive unless the fabric was dry rotted or damaged already. If you were still concerned, you could always reduced the air pressure.

Funciona exactamente como debe hacerlo, usarlo con 60 ó 70 psi es lo mejor pues a 90 psi se desgasta muy rápido el cono por dentro.
