The SW182 series of contactors has been designed for direct current loads, particularly motors as used on electric vehicles such as industrial trucks, airport tractors, and such like. They have double breaking contacts with silver alloy contact tips, which are weld resistant, hard wearing and have excellent conductivity. Rated Current - 200 Amps. Voltage Coil – 48V. Double Pole, Changeover Contacts Magnetic Blowouts. Coil Power – 11 to 15W. Rated Voltage of Contact Circuit - 6 to 80 Volts DC. Dielectric Voltage Strength - 50Hz 1000V AC 1min. Almost perfect
Just finished building an electric go kart for my son. Reverse is required. This was easy to install. My only gripe was that it didn't come with the 1A diodes you need to also install. I'd have gladly paid $2 more so that I didn't have to make a special trip to Frys.
