I think there's a lot of engineering that went into this little gadget that most folks might not appreciate; i built the cabinet i planned to install this on and found it very conducive to my project. There are some gaps in its design for sure, but for the price im really impressed so far. The fingerprint works better than most other locks I've had experience with. The fact that any currently authorized user can add another is great for my application. If the batteries die it automatically unlocks, and the mechanism is on a sort of oscillating spring, meaning if the latch catches when it dies, you just have to put a little pressure on the drawer to ease the tension and let the spring pull back the latch, mitigating any fears of not being able to get into the drawer without destroying the cabinet. The gaps are where you have to factory reset it to remove a fingerprint but that's trivial when only a handful of people would need access anyways. The keypad and fingerprint reader are solid built but the interior latch is where it starts to fail. The metal jamb plate needs sanded or grinded down about 1/32 of an inch to properly receive the latch if it's installed flush to the face of the drawer. That plate also prevents a perfectly flush fit from the whole interior latch box against it as the screws stick out about 1/8 inch, id be less worried about someone being able to force the drawer open it if was a perfect fit, all that would take is redesigning the metal jamb plate or fabricating a new one. The latch itself is plastic shrouded by aluminum, and it feels very lightweight and flimsy. The curve of the latch also prevents a smooth drawer closing. The programming instructions can be difficult to follow until you get the hang of it. Would still buy again.

Safe and work well. It can store multiple finger prints. It was hard to physically set to my desk drawer but I managed it. The lock and unlock reaction is great. I wanted an auto lock item.

This is a great little lock for your drawer. I thought the whole thing was made out of metal but it’s only the lock pad part and the lock. The mechanism that actually locks is plastic so I would think this is good for certain valuables. I wish it was all metal and more sturdy. Also it beeps every time you interact with it and there is no option to disable it.

Installation is pretty simple if you have basic tools (Drill, proper sized drill bits, and a screwdriver). I installed on the top drawer for an oak desk and had to do some drilling, but was simple enough. Used a paint marker on the prongs (lipstick or crayon works too) to press into place and mark where to drill but would have been nice if it came with a template sticker or something but no big deal. Fingerprint reader seams accurate, opens reliably at different finger angles and doesn't open for wrong fingers. Setup was simple using the videos on the item page but the paper instructions weren't great for the fingerprint part on mine. I guess there's different versions? Oh well. All in all, it does what it's supposed to, seems secure, and a good value for the price. Wished it was 100% rechargeable vs batteries and plug in for backup power but that's a minor detail. Improvement could be made, but I'm sure that would up the price a fair bit as well so definitely for what I paid, I'm happy with it!

This product starts with the smallest printed directions ever, the template is not to scale so you have to measure everything. Our drawer is a mess but we got installed and it’s nearly impossible to set anything. Nothing really works then it gets caught in settings and you can’t get out of it. We tried resetting it, according to the directions and it’s incredibly difficult. Would not recommend.

We bought this to lock up knives in the kitchen. Didn’t work for any of our pull out drawers.

good back up system, easy to install, does not malfunction unlike my previous digital fingerprint lock

bought this for a custom drawer project. Works great. The External USB port for power is a well thought out idea for those times your batteries are dead. I wouldn't suggest using this for building anything you want really secure, but for keeping small personal things out of the reach of kids it works great. Only gripe I have is the beep sounds are a little loud. Wish there was a way to turn them down or even off. Kids in the next room would be able to hear every time I open the drawer peaking their curious minds. I might have to take it apart and try to disconnect the speaker, or add a resister to drop of the current / volume.

bought this to replace the lock on my new file cabinet and i have to say i am really impressed by the simple instruction on how to replace out the old lock on my cabinet. after putting in the battery the lock works flawlessly. usb key is also a plus as well. it comes with a different orientation version as well. highly recommend.

مواد الصنع جيدة و يبدو فاخر و به الكثير من المزايا مثل الفتح بفلاشة مرفقة او بصمة او رقم سري و الغلق الذاتي او بزر الشباك او بالبصمة او عدم الغلق الذاتي. التركيب ليس سهل و يحتاج تخرم ٣ فتحات. فهم طريقة التشغيل و تسجيل البصمة و تغيير الرقم السري يحتاج وقت كبير للفهم. يوجد خطأ في كتابة طريقة تسجيل البصمة بالكتالوج. اقترح عمل فيديو يشرح التركيب و التشغيل. لاحظ ان منه شكلين افقي و رأسي حسب خطتك في وضعه اشتريت منه اثنان و حتى الأن ممتاز..
