It just glides over the potato skin. I only use it on potato’s and works so well.

Just dont buy it! The angle to peel is not so good and can not run long surface area.. better grab a good generic one. Built quality is fine but operating it very bad.

If you like this form factor in a vegetable peeler (I do), this one is terrific. It fits naturally in my hand, is light and easily maneuverable, and the blade is really sharp. The only (very minor) negative: the potato eye remover is a bit dull. I may use a file on it to see if that will make it more effective. I realize that people have peeler preferences and this type isn't for everyone--my partner *hates* peelers with this blade orientation--but I peeled many a potato as a kid using one similar to this model, and the moment I first held it was like coming home.
