Can this take the place of a 4 traditional switches, or does it require their proprietary bulbs?

This switch will take the place of 4 light circuits with traditional bulbs. This switch only fits in 1 junction box size though so you may need to cover some empty switches. This also gives you the ability to control up to 4 circuits through the LifX app. You don't need to wire up all 4 switches. All 4 button switches in my house are only wired to a single circuit and the remaining buttons are virtually wired to proprietary lights or light scenes.

Does it work for 220 voltage?

I believe the Lifx switches do not work with 220
