How are the airlines about bring these on board?

It is not forbidden to bring this pen on airlines and I have personally kept this pen in my hand bag going through security. HOWEVER, a security agent can decide otherwise at any time. One customer reported that he had his pen blocked. I still take a chance with mine, but you may want to leave it in a bag when it is scan

Has it been tested to break glass

Yes. Bought this on a lark because I thought this was a ridiculous thing to have in general. Strangely, two weeks later I came across a car fire in the middle of the road. Used it to take out the back window to make sure no one was in the car while waiting 15 minutes for the FD (Detroit, got to love this city). So yes, it works. You need the proper technique and know what your doing but it works great. One strike and the glass was gone. PS Now I have several and always have one on me at all times. Some Joke. ;-)
