Value (KVR16N11/8) RAM 8 GB 1600MHz DDR3 (PC3-12800) Non-ECC CL11 240 Pin DIMM Motherboard Memory

The product arrived very quickly, was exactly as promised, was fairly priced and works perfectly! I am very pleased with this purchase.

I used this Kingston "Value RAM" to double my memory from 4GB to 8GB on a mainstream HP Windows desktop that came standard with 4GB of Kingston memory. Install was straightforward, and when I booted up the new memory was recognized immediately. Besides the additional RAM, I also now have a matched pair of memory sticks (2 X 4GB), and so I get increased memory bandwidth from this dual-channel configuration. Wow, my computer response really pops! I redid the "Windows Experience Index" evaluation, and subscore for Memory Operations per Second increased from 5.9 to 7.5. And since I'm using the integrated Intel HD 4400 graphics (which uses system memory), the subscore for Aero Graphics increased from 5.0 to 5.9. I'm a long-time Amazon customer, but was actually pointed to Amazon from the Kingston web site. I found the memory I wanted on the Kingston site, clicked the purchase button, and Amazon was one of the options--thank you Kingston & Amazon.

Ordered it in 2019. Now it is 2024 and it is still serving me well and working as expected. Not sure what else I can review a ram for.

One of the cheapest price I could find for memory. I didn't realize that this was a SHORTER height than most memory (shorter than the my originally installed memory), but it fit just fine lengthwise. I have a HP Compaq Elite 8200 CMT with a quad core i5, 3.3 ghz processor, I bought two of these and they worked just fine. When I first installed, on first boot, it displayed an error about memory, but it mentioned pressing F1 to reboot, and I did so, after that, it rebooted and everything was normal and it worked just fine. Maybe the motherboard was telling me there is a change in memory size on first boot after install? Either way, it works just fine. I may order 2 more in the future to max out my memory to 32 GB.

I have a Windows 10 PC with 8 Gigs of Ram. As Windows has grown, and has the amount of memory that web pages take up, I found my PC swapping out a lot with the hard drive, and sometimes Chrome would lockup for minutes on end when I had lots of tabs open (not uncommon for me to have 20+ tabs open at once). Adding this memory into my Dell's second slot a couple of months ago, which doubled my RAM from 8 to 16G, has prevented such slowdowns from recurring. I haven't had any problem with this memory thus far and am extremely happy with the purchase.

Topp Leistung zum günstigen Preis. Der Speicher wurde in "Prime"-Geschwindigkeit pünklich geliefert. In der Umverpackung, ein DIN-A4 Umschlag aus Pappe, steckte der Speicherriegel, welcher nochmals in einer Blisterverpackung steckt. Vor dem Auspacken habe ich den gelieferten nochmals mit dem vorhandenen RAM-Speicher und meiner Bestellung bei Amazon verglichen. Ich bekam einen Schreck, da der gelieferte eine andere, kürzere Bauhöhe hatte, als der im PC verbaute. Auch die eingestellte Abbildung des Verkäufers bei Amazon zeigte die höhere Bauweise! Natürlich stimmten die Daten und gepasst hat dann schließlich auch alles. TROTZDEM muss man sagen, dass einem Anfänger bzw. einem Laien nicht sofort und eindeutig klar ist, dass der Speicherriegel trotz unterschiedlicher Bauhöhe paßt. Ein entsprechender Hinweis fehlt im Angebot des Verkäufers. Nach einer Schrecksekunde ist, alles in allem, in Ordnung. Meine klare Kaufempfehlung!

I used it in I7 3rd generation, its 1600 MHZ, before buying, check if your motherboard supports 1600 MHZ, probably you have to update bios as well. Some specific mother board supports 1600 with I7 3rd generation, not all so be careful. Regards, Mazhar

I was scared at first because when I saw the ram I went like ''What the hell... this is so thin. Did they send me the wrong ram?'' but fortunately it was the right ram. It fitted like a glove and it's definitely not like in the picture shown above. Here's what it looks like: [...] It's a low profile ram which some people might not like because it's not show-off enough, but when you think of it, if you want to install a aftermarket cpu cooler and need some space well tadah! you have some! P.S. didn't get to try it yet since I am waiting for a keyboard to go into the bios.
