Good coffee
I have a bad habit of buying expensive Starbucks drinks. I have been trying to get away from buying Starbucks and have successfully done so in the past. Albeit temporarily. Part of that success is having coffee beans at home that I can grind every morning to make myself fresh coffee. And I have to say I am very pleased with the taste of this coffee as well as the value. It has become more and more difficult to find good whole bean coffee selections at the local store so just ordering it ahead on Amazon has been my solution. I will definitely buy this again. I do not consider myself a connoisseur. I am just an average Joe looking for a real good cup.

Real Good Coffee? Yes!
I was looking for a new brand of whole bean coffee, since I was bored with the brand I was drinking daily. I also wanted to shift from a dark espresso roast to something more medium bodied and packed a good caffeine punch! Enter Real Good Coffee's Donut Shop. The whole beans came in great packaging, once opened filled the air with its wonderful perfume of roasted, coffee, goodness. The beans looked fresh, not dried out. My burr grinder seemed as happy as I was to crush the coffee into a fine grind and off into my Bunn coffee maker it went. In four minutes I had spectacular coffee. The aroma tantalized with a slight smokiness, caramel, and vanilla hints. My taste buds were more than satisfied with the smooth taste of freshly roasted beans and there was no bitter taste. So, for now, Real Good Coffee is my daily driver. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Works well in Espresso machine
I tried this Whole bean coffee for the first time. It was on sale for $10 a 32 oz bag so I could not pass up that deal. It worked great in my Espresso machine and had no issues with pressure. The beans are not oily so I did not get any build up. I got the Medium Roast. I usually use dark roast beans. It was smooth an not bitter. It was a bit lighter than I like, as I said i usually get a darker roast. Overall for the price and quality you can't beat it. I do recommend trying this brand out. It was really good. Much better than some higher priced / well known brands

Finally Found My Coffee!
1st off, I'm NOT a coffee expert. But I love coffee. There was a little independent coffee house I went to for a few years. I loved their regular coffee because it had "something" about the flavor, or feel that I really liked. They closed & I never found out what kind of coffee it was. Since then, I've bought a hand bean grinder, a French Press, a Krupps burr electric grinder, looking for THAT coffee. I'm NOT interested in espresso, latte's or any of that stuff. Just good coffee. I've been trying a bunch of different brands & types of whole bean, but none had what I was looking for. UNTIL NOW! The Real Good Coffee Co. "Donut Shop Medium Roast" is what I've been looking for. The beans are very dark & shiny (for those that know coffee beans). When the bag is opened, the aroma is not any different than I expected. But the coffee I get is what I've been searching for. I've made it in my French Press, My Hamilton Beach single cup coffee maker, & just threw in a handful of grounds in boiled water on a camp stove. Each time, I'm really satisfied.. I know coffee flavor is a personal thing & some folks get carried away with the "Art or Science" of coffee brewing. But I just want a good cup or tall mug of coffee a few times a day & this is it. So long Arbuckles, Starbucks, etc., etc. Incidentally, the Krupps burr grinder grinds too fine for French press, even on coarsest setting. Hand grinder is better but more work. (Although the finished-brewed- coffee is about the same.)

Okay coffee
It’s not bad coffee, but it’s not particularly special.

Wonderful full bodied, complex but smooth brew
So a little background on me. As I am somewhat frugal and want that first cup of coffee immediately I have to own that I was an instant coffee drinker for years. I know, Olympia WA, the shame. Well I stumbled onto drinking a little of my instant coffee when it was cold and, oh, how horrible!! That's the trick in discerning good coffee, drink a bit of it when it's cold. This coffee is smooth, yet complex with various tones of flavor, a good "everyday" coffee. I also have their Dark Roast which is wonderful but I like to change it up. Very happy with the value, the bag which actually reseals faithfully and of course the taste, even when cold!! Enjoy!

Better than expected.
I have tried various coffees over the years. Sometimes it will be over roasted, sometimes they will add oil to “flavor” the coffee. Many many things can go wrong when picking one. I bought this one, it showed up in a couple days, and I was excited to try it. I open the bag and was hit with fresh beans that smelled a bit harsher than I was expecting. It made me worry that this was going to be a bit to strong and the acid level high. I use the pour over method and fresh grind on each time I am preparing to consume. The first time I made it, once the water hit the grinds, the aroma was great! I took the first sip, bracing for a harsh, acidity coffee, it was smooth. It was clean. It was… Marvelous!
