While I usually stick with the main BIG 5 manufacturers of filament for my standard colors, Giantarm was clearly the fan favorite when it came to silk PLA. I took a chance, even though it was a few dollars more than the big brands and I am glad I did. Phenomenal results on even the most standard prints. The luster and shine are definitely a step above the others. I printed with the Bambu Silk PLA profile on a Bambulab A1 outfitted with a BMCU and had no issues with feeding or layer adhesion whatsoever. The photo of my first print shows the significant amount of luster even in indoor light, and that is with no ironing or post correction. It printed dry out of the pack, but I'm sure it would perform even better out of a dryer. 5 stars, highly recommended 👍

This filament has quickly become my absolute favorite. The silk purple finish is stunning, rich, vibrant, and produces a beautiful sheen that really makes prints stand out. I’ve had consistently smooth results with great layer adhesion and minimal issues during printing. If you’re looking for a filament that delivers both quality and eye-catching color, this one is definitely worth it.

This is IT! Came vacuum packed, no damage. It's super super strong. The adhesion is perfect. No tangling, no bent corners. It dries just fine. I can't smell it. The large spool is great because I'm going to use gold so often. The picture is about 3 inches in size, for the coin. I made the circuit board myself using Tinkercard, sliced with Cura. Printed on Ender 3 pro. It is awesome. I should have gotten it sooner. I'm not sure if they are any bad reviews, but if there are, its because their printers stink or are overused. My Ender is 6 years old, but its never been used, so I can tell you it works perfect at 200 degrees with 60 bed.

Zero issues. Compatible with most printers, no jams or clogs. Feeding was easy without problems. Great value for the money. The color does simulate silver more than chrome, but prints came out great.

Printed without any issues with feeding or flow on both my BambuLab printers! Did not have any tangles or other issues. Spool was 1kg as advertised. Lots of compliments on the colors, will be ordering more! This filament is not glow in the dark.

I thought that the filament was glassy when i saw it online, but it is just really nice white. it prints well and is prone to tangling early in the spool but overall, the prints are snazzy and modern

Das Filament lässt sich nicht Drucken da es die Düse aufgrund von Dicken Stellen(bis 2,05 mm) verstopft.

Leider können die Fotos die Farben des Filaments nicht richtig wiedergegeben. Es sieht einfach klasse aus. Ich werde mir bestimmt noch andere Farbkombinationen bestellen!

He probado este filamento PLA Seda plata de GIANTARM y el resultado ha sido muy bueno. El acabado plateado con efecto seda queda espectacular en piezas decorativas y da un aspecto mucho más profesional que un PLA normal. La impresión ha sido muy fluida desde el primer momento, sin atascos ni problemas de adherencia. Además, la precisión dimensional se nota bastante, ya que las piezas salen limpias y con muy buen detalle. Lo utilicé en varias impresiones largas y el diámetro se mantiene bastante constante. El color plata tiene un brillo elegante y uniforme, ideal para figuras, decoración y proyectos 3D.

I always think the signs of a good quality filament is the way it is packaged as it shows that they manufacturers care about how it is stored in the weeks/months between the factory floor and it arriving at the end user. The quality of printing with a filament suffers when it has been exposed to moisture and dust so to receive the silk PLA in a vacuum sealed bag with a silica gel packet inside shows that they care about quality. The packaging also comes with a re-sealable bag which is a nice touch. I've made a couple of test prints and the ease of printing is very good. It behaves no different to normal PLA using the same print settings (I used 210 degrees hotend with a 60 degrees heated bed). Despite some stringing (I probably could get away with 200 degrees hotend) I didn't have any issues with the prints (working first time). Colour is replicated really well (a nice shiny copper look) from the colour on the spool and the finish on the print is really smooth (I printed at 0.2mm layers and 100mm/s speed which explains the visibility of the layers). For price/kg this is a really good choice for all standard of users. Highly recommended.
