40802001 Essentials Double Towel Bar, 24-Inch, Starlight Chrome

This is a high-quality German-made product. It is obviously highly plated chrome-why anyone would think it had white knobs escapes me. Instructions could be a bit better, with giving guidance on the distance between the mounting plates. But easy enough to muddle through and get it installed.

As usual it has the quality look and sturdiness from Grohe products. My whole bathroom accessories are all from Grohe.

Had to use custom anchors because the provided ones were really flimsy and didn’t really secure it. The product itself is nice.

These have the appearance we wanted for our remodeled bathroom. We use them for bath towels as well as some hand washables. The installation challenge (I read others' experiences before ordering) is that they have to be screwed into wood or you have to use molly bolts. As some reviewers found, the screws would indeed fall out of sheetrock if you loaded them up with wet things. Recommend.

Looks good. Feels very sturdy. All instalation parts are included. Simple to install - takes a few minutes. Fits two bath towels comfortably.

Polished chrome looks so good and clean. We placed 2 next to the sink for easy towel access. The quality is superior and easy to mount.

I bought this towel bar for the purpose of being able to hang 2 bath towels on it. However, the space between the 2 bars is too close together, making it very difficult to hang a second towel once the first towel is hung on one of the bars. Even if I finally squeeze my fingers into the tight space to hang the 2nd towel, there is not enough air space between the 2 towels to dry them effectively. Also, the corners of the towel bar are not rounded and stick out, so when you hang a large bath sized towel on it, you cannot fully spread out the towel across the bar in order to dry the towel across the entire surface like you can with a towel bar that has curved and rounded edges. This towel bar was poorly designed for functionality and I therefore dislike it. However, once it is installed and already paid someone to hang it, it is too expensive to return and get another double towel bar.

Ich bestellte diesen Handtuchhalter für unser neues Badezimmer, weil wir uns auch bei den Armaturen für Dusche und Waschbecken für Grohe entschieden hatten. Die Armaturen wurden vom Sanitär-Fachhändler geliefert - bei den Accessoires lehnte ich aber auf Grund des sehr hohen Preises ab und schaute mich bei Amazon um. Die Grohe Essentials Serie ist qualitativ wirklich 1A und macht schon nach dem auspacken einen sehr soliden Eindruck. Kein Vergleich mit den günstigen Baumarktartikeln, die nahezu zu den gleichen Preisen wie hier die Grohe Essential angeboten werden. Das anbringen war sehr einfach. Beiliegend ist eine kleine Metallplatte, welche an die Wand gedübelt wird. Diese könnte man wahrscheinlich auch mit einem guten Kleber kleben - davon bin ich aber nicht so der Fan. Einzig beim Bohren in Fliesen sollte man sehr vorsichtig sein und möglichst einen neuen, gehärteten Bohrer nehmen. Wenn die Metallplatte befestigt ist, dann wird der Handtuchalter nur noch drauf gesteckt und durch eine kleine Inbus-Konterschraube gesichert - Fertig! Nach nun einigen Wochen gibt es keinerlei Markel - ich bin echt begeistert vom Design, der Stabilität und der guten Verarbeitung. Absolute Kaufempfehlung und volle fünf Sterne.
