Savior of Vintage Crusty Motorcycle
I have a 1978 Honda CB750K that has been sitting since 1987 and had the JIS screws on the engine cases nicely stripped out for me by the previous owner. I bought the Vessel JIS Impacta screwdrivers but the screws were so overtightened and stuck that even with a 5 lb mallet, they would not back out. I decided to try out this guy using the included #3 bit and sure enough, those stubborn ass screws backed out without stripping further, even though the bits were Philips and not JIS. For $19.40, I’m happy with this impact driver. The only complaints that I have, along with a few other in the reviews here, are that the bits definitely are a bit on the soft side (still held up for me) and the direction setting can be challenging to figure out. I used to work in the hardware department at Sears and we sold ours for around $40 at the time, so at half the cost, I’m perfectly happy with this guy. But you can bet I’m dropping allen bolts in my motorcycle instead of putting these guys back in!

Worked as Advertised, Instructions not clear, Here is What Worked For Me
So had two frozen phillips head screws on an old bike rack that needed to be removed. Purchased this after reading reviews of many similar impact screwdrivers on Amazon. Like others, I was also thrown by lack of instructions, the diagram on the box lid is not very illuminating. Also, it is not clear if the screwdriver is compressed enough to be locked in the appropriate direction. After much effort and re-reading reviews and Answers, I was able to figure it out and successfully removed the two frozen screws. Here is what worked for me: I had already squirted some WD40 on the screw heads before I ordered the tool and it had 24 hours to soak in while I waited for the tool to arrive. 1. With your right hand, hold the silver handle of the screwdriver so that it is at the bottom, with the black bracket end facing upwards. The L and R markings will be upside down. Insert the bit that you need. 2. Hold the black bracket with your left hand. 3. With your right hand, push in and twist the silver handle in the direction of the Left arrow. You want to turn the silver handle, NOT the black bracket. Now the tool is ready. 4. With a sharpie or pencil, draw a line on the head of target screw and the area next to it so you have a way to tell if the tool is working and you are making progress. 5. Put the tool into the screw head, with your left hand twist the tool to the left and at the same time strike the handle with the hammer. You may feel the tool turn slightly in your left hand. Continue to strike with the hammer multiple times. It took me at least 10 strikes to loosen. 6. Look at the line that you drew and see if the screw head moved off the line and if you are making progress. If it looks like you are making progress, use a screwdriver to see if you can unscrew the head, but be careful not to strip the head. 7. Repeat 3 above to make sure tool is still set and locked in, then repeat 5 above until you see progress and screw head starts to turn so that you can finish with a screwdriver. Took me a number of tries to get it going so don't give up if it does not work at first. So, the tool worked, frozen screws removed. Solid tool, nicely packaged. Like that it has a case so can keep tools neat and organized.

but it is a good thing I watched a youtube video that showed doing ...
I have replaced brake pads/rotors on many cars, but it is a good thing I watched a youtube video that showed doing this job on an acura before attempting the job myself. I didn't know the acura rotors had the two retaining screws, which are impossible to remove without an impact driver. I ordered the tool before doing the job and it arrived on time. Removing the screws was easy with this tool, impossible without it. For the people saying the metal on the tool becomes somewhat deformed when it is struck with a hammer, this is actually a good thing. You would not want this tool to be made of brittle, tempered steel. Though that would not dent, it is susceptible to chipping. Banging two brittle steel tools together a foot or two from your eyes is not a good idea. I have a cousin who has been seeing through only one eye for years as a result of doing something like that.

Great tool for brake job
Since most of the newer cars on today's market has screws on the rotor, an impact screwdriver is a must have if you like to DIY your own car. I first brought this product is because of it's price, it is by far the cheapest impact screwdriver I seen on Amazon. I first have a little doubt about the product, but after put the screwdriver into action I have no regret of buying the product. It's easy enough to use even though I still need a little help from YouTube. But after I know how to use it the driver really does it's job, I only have to hit the screwdriver with a hammer a few times and I was able to take out the screw with no problem, very satisfied with my money spent

Faultless tool - even paying the "import duty" it's worked out a "LOT LESS" than buying off the USA tool vans (Snap On / Matco / MAC etc !) can't fault it !! It won't get the same amount of use as my Snap On stuff but it will come in handy when you need a manual impact driver (aluminium sumps and water pump housings / motorbike crankcases etc) - you get a lot of bang for your buck - so much better than the one I use currently - I've had it years but now it's tired out. This new tool is head and shoulders above the old one (not mentioning any names) !!!

Ottimo attrezzo.
