More Like Tea Leaves
Hi I tried this brand today and find it very nice, strong, full of flavour, full bodied and having a gorgeous aroma, just like I remember proper Tea Leaves do. Some times I do like to put the Infuser in the cup, as in the pictures, rather than in the pot to give the Tea leaves more room to breathe, or just use a Tea strainer. Loving Tea as I do, I will be trying other brands. Must have another cuppa! All the best Dusty

Real tea, Real flavour.
Proper tea for sure. The taste is perfect for us, very nice flavour. I can't believe how great this is compared to tasteless PG tips tea bags. Ahmad tea is full of the aroma of tea, the tea leaves are a nice size, and no dust in the box. We use a french press to brew ours, two heaped teaspoons in then about 900 ml of boiling water. A good stir, fit the plunger, leave to brew for 6 minutes, plunger down and pour. Perfect cuppa. No more plastic contaminated tea bags for us. Thanks Ahmad tea.

Lovely tea but now too expensive
Great tea. Lovely flavour but I am going to stop buying this now due to the price. Before Christmas 2025 I was paying under £10 for it. Now in January it went up to around £16 and now suddenly it's £20. Can't justify that.

Good flavour
This is the best at the price. Not grassy like some others. The leaves really swell up when wetted.

That first sip was a delicious memory lane moment.
A delicious memory lane moment - that was what I experienced when I first tried this tea. I grew up enjoying a loose tea brew from the tea pot whenever I visited my grans. My gran past away and I never saw the teapot again. From then on, tea was only brewed with teabags. I struggled to enjoy teabag brewed tea and my enjoyment of tea disappeared to the point I refused tea for many years. After a teapot was recently introduced to our home, I gave Ahmad English Breakfast tea a try. I left the loose tea leaves stewing for several minutes in the teapot, poured my wife and I a cup each, added a splash of milk and took a sip. We both smiled. This is what good tea tastes like. In that first sip I was transported back to childhood tea at my grans. And now I enjoy a delightful cup of tea and all the health benefits it brings. I’ve even got some in cup infusers so if it’s tea for one, no problem. This tea is nice black or with milk. I enjoy both depending on my mood. The box, although not important looks nice but I’m looking at a better storage solution to keep the tea fresh and tasty. On final thought is I think this has to be better for the environment - no tea bag means less materials and manufacturing processes are required for the tea and I’m not throwing teabags away - some which apparently are made from plastic and even the paper ones apparently use plastic to seal the tea bag. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this tea as much as our household does.

Lovely strong, tasty cuppa. and works out very cheap also.
I started drinking tea again fairly recently after having stopped years ago. I wrongly assumed my tastes had changed, but it was tea from the main brands in the UK that had changed for the worse, be it Yorkshire, PG Tips, Typhoo, Tetley etc, they sell weak Tea with poor quality flavour. Clipper sell very decent tasting teabags, but it's not as cheap as buying loose tea. This Ahmad breakfast tea is superb, one of my faves. It's lovely and strong but without the astringent bitterness some loose teas have. I recommend people go back to loose tea, it's the way we drank tea for generations and works out at a fraction of the cost of tea bags.

Good value when it's £7, excellent tea
Great value when it's £6.99/500g. I don't understand how it is £7 one month & £20 the next! Honestly, do you think we don't notice?

I had never heard of them (probably because I'm not British), but it was quite good. Its half a kg so it will take a while before i need some more, but I'm certainly planning on buying some more.

I love the Ahmad English Breakfast tea. I'm fussy about tea, but I find this one smooth with a nice balance and subtle flavor. It makes for a good classic cup of black tea. I drink 3-4 cups most days. I've tried the Ahmad Cardamon tea and the Ceylon (slight bergamot flavor) too -- they're good quality for people looking for those flavors. If you want to make an Indian Chai using your own spices, the English Breakfast and Cardamon are both good bases for that. I'm very happy with Ahmad tea products. I've been buying them for a couple of years now. If you read this review under a different product, that's not my fault as this platform seems to copy and reuse reviews elsewhere. It's why I mention the name of the product in reviews.

Ahmad tea is quality tea. I have had several of their offerings and have never been disappointed. The English Breakfast is one of the best, if not the best, English blends I've had. Quality leaf blended expertly. Malty, clean, hint of chocolate. Brews to a clear liquor. Excellent.
