Does this include the case for the router ?

Yes! It is quite a good case with places to store accessories and router bits.

Would I be able to use a large 1-1/2" radius rounding bit (approx. 3-1/2" diameter) in this router, assuming it has to installed below the subbase?

Shouldn't be a problem. Do remember two things for sure - (1) the bit must extend clear of the base of the router and (2) slow the router speed way down (25,000 RPM is not safe with a bit that large; see the instruction manual for recommended speeds).

Will accept half inch and 1/4 inch shanks on the bits

Complete Router and Table Kit Package

Bought this kit package to use in my home woodworking shop on various projects. It performed perfectly right out of the box and appears to be well made. I am impressed by the quality of the Bosch 1617 router and I am glad I chose it. Some of the router table accessory parts are made of inexpensive plastic, and I doubt they would stand up to rigorous commercial use, but for casual work in my home shop, everything should be fine.
