Is this the same as the curel hydrating water essence?

Yes this is the essence, I ordered this and that's what cane in the mail. It's lovely!

Has anyone tried this with a microcurrent device like foreo bear?

That needs to be used with a serum and this is an essence, which is more like water, so I don't know if it would be thick enough. This is literally like splashing water on your face in terms of texture.

If you don't wear makeup, do you still need to do 2 step cleansing with this 1st or can you just use the 2nd step foaming facewash or use this alone?

You still need 2 steps of cleasing if you wear waterproof sunscreen.
