Very nice I call it Thor. Very respectful, I bought it to pound fence post supports in the ground. Worked wonderfully which is respectful of the hammer. If anyone has the need for a powerful hammer for any big project I recommend this one. I have even used it to bust up concrete. Very powerful and compact with a thick rubber handle protector near the head. Fantastic tool I highly recommend it!

I think we're gonna need a bigger arm. This is for the 8 lb. 16 inch hammer. It's basically a one handed 8 pound sledge, I have used it so far for shaping and forging steel. With this much weight it easily does the job, feels very sturdy. I was previously using a 4 pound one hander, this 8 pounder does tire you out pretty quick (well duh) but it does git er dun. I could probably use the exercise anyways and it means I don't spend too much time forging. Love my BFH

I had to wrap the handle for a better grip for me. It got the job done

Spent about 3hrs using "Mongo" today and really glad I ordered it, but it's definitely a 2 hander, so I wish it had about 2 or 3 inch longer handle. But it took a lickin, bent a spike to the point that I had to cut the mushroom off of the spike and the hammer showed no damage at all. My right bicep may not be right for a couple of days!

The item is clearly pre-used. The head came all rusty on the edges and the stickers on it were removed with the residue still on it. I paid for brand new and received used.

Wish they had better described how short the handle was. Who uses an 8 pound sledge with a 16” handle
