So basic and cheap- every house should have one! After flooding our house when pressure shot the top off of a leaking/damaged tap in our new (to us) fixer upper house, and then not being able to turn off the mains water for 15minutes after a neighbor came to the rescue, we bought this. Pretty cheap compared to replacing the lights the water pressure shattered, buying a fan to dry the floors, a new vanity, and tearing out the carpet in the living room that the water flooded. It’s pretty short but our mains supply is very shallow. Takes about 2 whole seconds to turn the water off now. Lesson learned.

I like the size of these ok but if you need to put some stank on a valve I don’t think this would do it. However, I keep it in a mobile kitchen unit and it does not take up a lot of space so that’s nice. The water key itself is pretty small and again my not have the strength to loosen tough valves. But for the price I’ll see what happens.

I got tired of using a 12" crescent wrench to open and shut down the water line to the house while doing maintenance on plumbing issues. This tool made it effortless. Don't have much use for the 4 way utility key.

If you are a homeowner this is something you should have on hand. You just can’t trust those PVC ball valves to shut the water off when you need it to.
