I’ve been using the eufy Security S230 SoloCam for a few about 6 months now, and I’m really impressed! Setup was incredibly simple — within minutes, it was up and running without the need for any complicated wiring or hub connections. The app is user-friendly and gives me peace of mind with instant alerts and clear live footage. The video quality is sharp, even at night thanks to the built-in night vision. I also love that it’s completely wire-free and solar-powered, so I don’t have to worry about charging or running cables. The motion detection works well and doesn’t send false alerts, which is a big plus compared to other cameras I’ve tried. The main drawback is battery performance during the UK winter months. With limited sunlight, especially during shorter and overcast days, the camera can struggle to stay charged and requires manual recharging more often than ideal. During spring and summer this is far less of an issue, but it is something to be aware of if you are relying solely on solar charging year round. In summary, a good, affordable option with strong video quality and features, but winter battery performance in the UK is the biggest limitation.

I am not a security camera expert but this is a competent piece of equipment. Yes, you must have Wi-Fi and a little bit of sunshine occasionally but Wi-fi is common with most cameras. So long as you have Wi-fi range you can install the camera virtually anywhere. Mine even works well at the near the bottom of my garden a good 40 to 50 feet away. (15 metres plus). The beauty is that you can walk about holding the camera to see if it works in a particular spot because it does not require a power point. The picture quality is superb and even using the infra red at night is very clear. The built in light will even enable night shots in colour but I turn the light off to help keep the camera inconspicuous but obviously it can be seen during the day. Viewing the footage on a smartphone is easy and can be downloaded for storage on a computer etc. or sent via Watts App. Recordings are stored on the internal memory until you are ready to view them. You can view a "live" shot at any time. My only criticism is that I would have liked a larger field of detection for motion. The activity area is adjustable and not just as a rectangle but the subject is fairly close when first detected although once detected it stays in view over a greater area. I am so pleased with this camera that I have ordered a second one for the other side of the house. The remote access when away from home is a bit iffy and won't let me log in and I see others have had the same problem but overall I am more than pleased with this piece of kit. Not a cheap outlay but no monthly costs to pay and easy to install anywhere within Wi-fi range. Battery seems to charge even in weak sunlight and there is a battery meter in the app so you can keep an eye on it. PS: Have realised that you can view camera through the app without signing in to Eufy when away from home and you still get alerts through mobile data. First class.

It works well most of the time. It does go offline randomly but that may well be our internet. Reasonably easy to set up and link in with others. Good pictures even at night. Recharges well in the sun.

I've mounted this on the side of my house overlooking our driveway and it only gets direct sunlight in the afternoon but so far the battery life has been superb. I put it up in early May 2022 and it's not dropped lower than 98% as of July 2022 (I charged it fully before mounting). I'll be updating this review in winter but in the meantime carry on reading below if you're interested. Picture and sound quality are excellent. I've set it to record the maximum 2 minute clip each time. At the end of each day I select all and delete the clips, literally takes 30 seconds to do but there's tons of storage. I've set the activity zone to cover the driveway so the only footfall is myself and family or the neighbours kids fetching a ball or something. It's made the detection each and every time. I mute all notifications during the day as I work from home. You have 5 duration options to mute notifications up to a maximum of 12 hours. My main reason for having this is to keep an eye on the cars on the driveway at night. Picture quality at night is also excellent. Whenever a detection is made the spotlight is set to automatically turn on brightening up the area. All in all this an excellent piece of kit if you don't want to wire up a security camera, not have to worry about having somewhere to store footage and charge device.

Camera is good value for money with a few glitches. Larger than we would have liked but did the job. Fairly quick response time to notify you of someone on the drive and solar charging nice feature. Annoyingly kept getting notifications of movement on next doors drive although we had screened it off and set parameters for our land only. Unfortunately had to return ours as the bracket become unable to hold the weight of the camera after approx 3 weeks outside. Initially thought a bird had landed on it and my partner got on the ladder to try and move it, kept dropping down to only show the floor. Contacted customer service who directed me to Anker CS. Waited 2 weeks for replacement bracket which never came. Got in touch again and new one arrived a few days later. Bracket didn’t even make it onto the wall as this one also was unable to hold the weight. Useless! Sent back for full refund and will likely go for a wired one this time to save on size

Installed this over 2 weeks ago in my garden to cover some blind spots. Installation is easy, just 2 screws into the wall. The picture quality is fine at 2k, nighttime/vision in colour, inbuilt speaker and spotlight. All are good and do what is needed for my purpose. Setup via the eufy app was 'ok' but pairing to the network did take longer than expected. I got this item on sale under £100, and I was so impressed I bought another direct from Eufy. If you're on the market for a reliable, self charging camera to safeguard your home etc, I would happily recommend. I have recently purchased 2 more for my parents and set up theirs. Very happy customer.

La cámara es muy buena en todos los aspectos y además con la app de eufy te ofrece muchísimas posibilidades. El único inconveniente y para mí es grande es que no sea compatible con homebase, algo que de verdad no entiendo. Esta es la razón por la que después de comprarla la tuve que devolver y cambiar por una c2 pro. También una buena cámara pero que no me gusta tanto. En todo caso, si no vas a conectarla a homebase y solo vas a controlarla a través de Wi-Fi, me parece muy recomendable.

Easy to install, easy to configure, crystal clear 2k video. Audio quality is good. Don’t have to worry about removing the camera to charge at all. Solar ensures that the battery stays fully charged. Took me 10min to install and configure.

Ho acquistato due cam di questo modello, per un aggiornamento Eufy sistem, credo siano le migliori per i seguenti motivi: 1. Velocità trasmissione dati media 150 KB/s 2. Distanza dall'extender per la trasmissione dati circa 10,50 m. 3. Qualità dei materiali 4. Buona ricarica del pannello solare , anche con poca luce solare 5. Qualità immagine 2K, migliorata rispetto ai prodotti precedenti 6. Ottima la qualità del rilevamento solo umano, non da false notifiche, ne ho avuto altre marche ed in questo aspetto tecnico hanno fatto flop, invece Eufy su questa caratteristica è al TOP 7. In questo modello al rilevamento umano c'è l'opzione faro led, illumina l'ambiente almeno sino a circa 7m. 8. Facile da caricare e assemblare
