Very convenient way to add a light switch where there is no wiring using Z-Wave.
I have standardized my automation using Z-Wave. I wanted to add a 2-way switch in two locations in my cottage and I decided to give this a try. It was SUPER easy to setup. In one location in a hall I just stuck it. To the wall. In the other I bought a 2 gang wall plate and mounted this under it next to an existing switch. I added it to my smartthings hub and then programed the click actions. It was up and working in minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to find that you can program double, triple etc clicks. This such a great device. The oy small drawback is that it runs on small coin sized lithium batteries but for the convenience it is worth the price of replacing the batteries every once in a while. Love this switch!

Works great, happy with my purchase.
My application was for an in-garage switch for an overhead light that was already on a wired z-wave switch at the other end inside. There is a magnet on the back of the switch that keeps it attached to the provided plate and I was somewhat worried it would fall off. It is secure and no issues there. Now, inside the garage when I press up once it turns on the garage light. I also have it set when I press up twice, it opens the garage door. There is a noticeable delay but it is acceptable. I disconnected/capped off a 3 way end switch to place this over it to have multiple functions in one switch. You can have it do different things when you press up a different number of times and when you press down. I use it on smartthings and handler integration is pretty easy if you are familiar with that process. Alexa recognized it on smartthings immediately and voice commands and routines were easy to setup. Very Happy with the product and will likely purchase more in the future.

Great SmartThings compatible switch - can be used like a remote or like a regular switch
I bought one a year ago, and then I bought three more since. These things are awesome. I have used these with SmartThings to control lights and other things super easily. The setup with SmartThings is easy enough - not much different than other zigbee and z-wave devices. The one I bought a year ago still has battery life - so the battery seems to last a long time - and uses a super common button cell battery type. I REALLY love the fact that I can put it on the wall, but, also, whenever I want to, remove the magnetically attached switch and use it anywhere in my room or house. SUPER CONVENIENT - both to install and use. Definitely good value for the cost

A great Z-Wave remote that looks like a light switch!
If you are using Z-Wave and need a virtual 3-way setup to control an existing smart switch, or you want to control smart bulbs, this is a great alternative to installing another smart switch and putting it in "no load" or "smart bulb" modes. For one, this does not take up space in a junction box: you can put it in place of one of the switches in your j-box (and free up space for wiring), or next to the j-box and install a larger faceplate (e.g., a 5-gang faceplate for a 4-gang box), or you can install it standalone wherever you need it with the included faceplate (in which case be sure to measure so that you put it at the same height as all the other switches in your house).Note that the magnetic attachment that holds the remote into the faceplate is fairly weak. If you don't intend also to use this as a hand-held remote, consider adding some double-sided tape to hold it in place.

Incredible smart switch!
I have tried a few other switches/buttons with my SmartThings hub and none of them were very good. They either disconnected constantly, died much too quickly, or took so long to communicate that I could have just spoken to Alexa or even opened the app on my phone. This one, however, is a game changer! It took a bit to get it set up—I had to go through the pairing process a couple of times but 3 months later and it hasn’t dropped connection or missed a command once! It works literally every time and the double, triple, and hold press all work flawlessly! Plus, it’s fast! For me it very rarely takes more than a second for my lights to fade on.There’s a fair amount of customization but I’m honestly just happy to be able to turn my things on and off with a switch and not some janky button. I will for sure be getting the hardwired switches when I move!
