I use it four or five days a week for transcription. It's very good, the volume control and the ability to switch between stereo and mono really help with the varying sound quality of the interviews. More comfortable than over the ear headphones, and I just barely put it in the ears, it doesn't need to be fully inserted. Will definitely buy these again!

got this for transcription editing for my job. have great sound, love the volume control on the line, but my favorite part is the fact that they don't have to go on top of my head and the just sit kind of at your ear and don't actually go in and that they don't cover the entire ear. i have several pairs of earphones and buds, but this has turned in to be my favorite. may end up getting another pair so i can have a set hooked directly into the computer and the other one hooked up to my digital recorder. . i like these so well, that instead of keeping a different pair hooked up to the recorder, i keep transferring these from one to the other as needed due the great sound i get.

Sound quality is really good for the price. I would like a 10-foot cord instead of the 5-foot cord, but that was easily fixed with an extension cable. I bought these for a new legal transcription contract that requires playback with mono settings instead of stereo to keep sound from being distorted. The only problem I am having with this headset is they are not comfortable for working. The foam that comes with this headset is really thin and provides almost no barrier between the hard plastic and my ears. I have small ears and have trouble finding headsets that fit, so the ear pieces rest against the outside of my ears and I start having pain within 10 minutes of starting my shift bad enough that I am having to stop transcribing every 10 minutes or so. Definitely not good for increasing my production. I am now looking into either better options for padding or a different headset that offers the mono setting and still offers the same sound quality.

Great headphones, very reliable and good sound for transcription. I purchased a set like this one from another company and had to send them back twice because the sound cut out. Don't worry about that with the Spectra. Just make sure you realize how short the cord is. This cord reaches from the plug in the back of my computer, across the top of my desk without a lot of extra, which works fine for me because the longer cords always got stuck in my chair wheels or got wrapped up in my dog, who likes to sit under my desk while I work. I highly recommend this headset.

This is exactly what I was looking for and the price is fantastic. I needed a new pair for my transcription job. They are very comfortable, the volume adjustment is great and the long cord allows for no pull on the headphones.

Really like these headphones. Excellent sound quality. Have a more expensive set and I think this one is actually better!!!

I use this for my legal transcription job and it works great! The stereo/monaural switch is key for listening to certain files. Love that it sits under my chin and doesn't give me a headache when listening for long periods of time. Highly recommend!

Did an okay job with difficult audio - the stereo/mono switch is useful for that. However, after 6 months of not even regular use one of the ear pieces split. I went back to my factory-issue Samsung earbuds that came free with my Android device and found they did a much better job! The Spectra earpieces barely fit in my ear and also kind of sucked at blocking out external noise. Will not repurchase this headset nor anything by Spectra. The box they came in was kind of cheap. The under the chin type headset does have the advantage over over head headsets in terms of comfort. But for now I am sticking with my Samsung ear buds.

for the price, a total rip off.
