Cotz Sensitive SPF 40 Sunscreen (3.5oz)

Having rosacea it is very difficult for me to use a sunscreen that not only protects my sensitive skin but doesn't break me out as well. Cotz is the only product I have found that does both. I am very pleased with this product - I use it everyday and have had no problems with it. As a matter of fact I have noticed my skin isn't even as red as it used to be so I believe it is helping my skin as well as protecting it. I use it under my makeup and have even been complimented on my skin...I will continue to use it. It is a great product!

I have never hated a sunscreen this much. This is extremely comedogenic, so DO NOT apply this to your FACE. I will retain this only for use on my arms/legs when I run out of other stuff. It also looks really oily once it's on your face.

I was hoping this mineral sunscreen would be a hydrating solution for my dry, dehydrated, and easily irritated skin, after getting this for free to review. Unfortunately, it was the exact opposite of what I expected. The product left my face feeling irritated, very dry, and unpleasantly shiny. It is also moderately thick and pasty, which made it difficult to apply without tugging on my skin. I had to be very slow and careful with the application. While the initial white cast eventually disappeared after about an hour (I used the recommended two-finger-length amount), but it lingered on my friend's facial hair. I am fair skinned and must wear sunscreen. This, while containing 20% zinc oxide, seeped into my skin and became invisible. Yes, there is a bit of a gleam or sheen on the skin. But that's to be expected with a sunscreen that is truly safe and protective. I recommend it to other fair skinned people. It works well under makeup too.

I use it for outdoor swimming. It works great for that but it is a little greasy to use as an everyday sunscreen. The Cotz for the face is less greasy.

"Will not irritate" my $#@!. I react to many, many sunscreens, even supposedly gentle ones, even physical-only ones, so I have a protocol of patch testing. And thank goodness I do because this was burning my skin within 15 seconds and had to be washed off right away. If you commonly react to sunscreens do not assume this one will be different. And really? Why produce a gross, thick, cosmetically inelegant sunscreen if you can't even make it safe for sensitive skin? I use Vanicream's 30 and 50 spf creams. They are *truly* gentle.

Was looking for better protection with less mess and I found it! It goes on smooth and disappears and offers much more coverage than most spf's. I layer it with another moisturizer and it works all day. It actually acts as a primer and helps keep my makeup in place.

A little goes a long way, it blends quickly and absorbs so your face isn't greasy. I am on a treatment for melasma which makes my face very sensitive and although this sometimes stings a little when I put it on, that feeling fades quickly and I know my face is well protected.
