Solid and reliable
I got this for our Mastiff-Doberman, who had taken to going on adventures in the neighborhood last Spring. Fortunately I haven't had to track him with it, but it's a nice insurance policy to know I can at least try if he gets out of the yard again. The design is solid and durable and has stayed affixed to his thick nylon collar for several months now. The screws were a little hard to get through the thick webbing, but once through, it was a cinch to tighten them down. I like that the AirTag is protected from water and his big, clunky claws. It's fairly seamless, too. But he also has a big collar. If he had a smaller/thinner collar, it might stand out more. Does not add much weight at all. Lastly, I have not had any issue with the functionality, and I have been able to see him show up under "Find my friends" pretty reliably. Overall., a great investment for a big, dorky dog who is prone to the infrequent adventure.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The smartest way to hide an AirTag on a dog collar
We bought these for an upcoming trip with the dogs, but honestly, I wish I had found them sooner. This holder solves the exact problem I had with AirTags on collars. Quick take: • Super discreet. It sits flush on the collar so nothing dangles. Most people wouldn’t even notice it’s there. • Dog-proof design. My dogs can’t chew it or mess with it. • Secure. The AirTag can’t be easily removed, which is exactly what I wanted. • Easy install. Took just a minute to attach to our existing collars. • Waterproof. No worries about rain, mud, or dog adventures. • Comfortable for dogs. It’s small and lightweight. They don’t even notice it. I specifically didn’t want something dangling, bulky, or obvious that someone could easily remove if a dog ever got out. Bottom line: This gives real peace of mind without changing the collar we already like. If you travel with dogs or just want a smart backup in case one slips out the door, this is a great solution. I’d absolutely buy these again.

Quality material, secure application
When looking for an Air Tag holder to put on a dog collar, I was looking for something waterproof/watertight, snug fitting (to the collar), and neither easily removable nor identifiable. The TagVault checked all these boxes so I purchased a 2-pack. I installed these on poly-coated nylon collars. I initially installed them on 7-year old collars (same material but definitely aged) and the screws that secure the brace (back) to the vault cut through the material easily. When reinstalling the vaults on new collars, I needed to punch a small hole in the material with a small nail first. The material of the vault is hard but not brittle. I don’t anticipate that these will crack or break with seasonal changes or exposure to weather. I was impressed by the torx screwdriver they provided. It certainly won’t be a long-lasting tool, but the tip of the tail (? The part you hold) rotates so you can push with your palm and turn the rest with your fingers. It’s not fancy by any means, but it’s a feature I look for when purchasing drivers; they were thoughtful about providing a tool that makes the installation easier and more secure. They also used decent quality torx screws instead of a) cheap screws and/or b) Phillips, which usually strip out quickly, especially on tiny screw heads. One thing I found myself wishing during both installations was that there would be a tiny bit of play on the brace (slightly oblong holes, for instance). It’s likely easier to adjust the screw placement on woven fiber collars than it was on my stiff nylon ones, but I found that some finagling (tightening screws, backing out, alternating screw turns, etc) was necessary to ensure that the both screws were installed straight & the heads were flush to back brace. As the brace is, the screw hole is the exact size of the screw head, so there’s no margin for error in terms of screw placement (on rigid material). All in all, I’m satisfied with the tag vault so far. I paid $35 for a 2-pack and, despite recognizing that it appears to be a thoughtfully designed product made with decent quality materials, I think it’s over-priced at that price-point. I certainly wouldn’t pay more for the product. I believe that, at the time of this review, the price dropped to around $28/2-pack. I think $25-$26 is a fair price that would still allow for a significant profit margin.

Sturdy, lightweight, and low profile
It is the worked perfectly as it was lightweight and low profile. Installation was easy through a medium-thick collar. It feels very sturdy and water tight. I selected to place it opposite the collar buckle for balance.

A Great AirTag Holder for Dog Collars
This was more expensive than some other brands listed, and even though I haven't purchased and compared this to those other brands, I'm extremely happy with this purchase from Elevation Lab, as I can verify that it is well designed and built - and therefore worth the cost (some of which is tied up in the two included precision ground torx screw driver and L shaped torx key). Use the easy to follow directions - for a perfect fit of the Air Tag in the plastic case halves. The outside case has a nice radius around the edges where screws are located - so it is low profile and does not catch on anything. I purchased this to replace a "key tag" type holder, which swung loosely from my dog's collar, and got in the way of the leash on walks. This holder can be placed virtually anywhere on the collar, and away from the leash attachment, so it is never swinging loose, and never in the way of the leash. I positioned it on my dog's nylon woven collar where there was a double thickness of nylon strap - so the plastic backing strap and screw heads are in contact with the 2nd layer of nylon strap, and not my dog's neck. Some complain that the plastic backing strap snapped. I have seen some You Tube videos that show mounting this strap perpendicular to the collar (across the width), but it is not designed for that, and the directions clearly point that out. So perhaps this is how the failure occurred. Others complain that they ripped the insert molded nuts out of the plastic base when screwing together. What I see is these are precision screws and nut inserts. The screws should be tightened only to compress the O-ring to complete the waterproof seal. Once the top plastic case half seats against the bottom plastic case holder, the screws tightening should be stopped. Any additional tightening risks cracking the plastic, or ripping out the nut inserts. For smaller dogs, with smaller diameter necks, or cats - the proper mounting may leave a large flat spot in the collar. Elevation Lab may want to keep this mind and design a small radius interface for small dog/cat collars. This is not a issue for my Lab with a 17" diameter collar. After a couple of months and multiple daily walks, I've had no issues, and remain very happy with this purchase.

Get what you pay for and it’s sorta? worth the pay
I liked that it’s easy to set up it’s durable and stayed out it’s heavy duty. I have a husky and she loved to rub against rough object when she want to be bubbly with her personality and to get attention lol if she is in her kennel which she can open on her own. Which is why I bought this my husky can open a door and run out the house on her own she is very well behaved for the most part but I always want to have a safety measure being she is a husky the Houdini of escape artist type dog breed lmao so this work I do have a issue with the sound part it’s a definitive muzzle on the sound so it won’t work using the sound feature unless your pretty close as in 10-15 ft in a quiet place and that’s not the case for most people so the only part that’s good is the track part of you have signal to track your dog with this being the good measure of security rest assure if you have a strong collar then your basically guaranteed that this will hold on as if it was woven into the build of your collar your dog would have to cut there collar to take this off or break the collar off. 2points to this essay is it works great sound part won’t work tracking feature will work and it’s a solid holder

Sturdy and Reliable even with wrestling Pups!
This AirTag case is the PERFECT option for our rambunctious dogs. Our 80# puppy loves to pull and chew on our older dog’s collar and has broken several previous tag holders. We’ve had this one for a few months and it’s going strong! It’s a little large so might better for bigger dogs. To help prevent it getting chewed on during their wrestle matches - we installed this one to live under the collar with only the screws and a small strap showing on the outside. Resisting the playful pulls from our puppy and keeping our adventurous older dog’s safe! Took a bit of muscle to install (had to punch holes through the chew resistant PU leather ;) but was worth the effort.

Super Clever, High Quality
As an engineer I can confidently say I am stoked about this product. This idea is clever, especially for young puppies, who are too young to be micro chipped (or just as a second back up plan!). The product seems to me super well made; Installation was super easy and these guys were incredibly thoughtful about the details. An extra screw was included, they have nice loctite on the screws to prevent rotating out with vibration/ jostling, and the fit between the plastics and O-ring look high enough quality to give me some confidence in waterproofing . The fact that they used torx screws also just made me happy (so much better torque/ drive without stripping the screw head! ) Also, this is the nicest screwdriver I have ever seen in any assembly kit, except for maybe an iFixit kit (if you know you know ). Price is super reasonable- I hope to never need it, but even knowing I have it gives me a ton of peace of mind. I love that it can be used on an existing collar. Excited to see how this holds up on my puppy! Update to say that almost 3 years (and many baths, swims, play sessions ) later and this is still going strong (have swapped the AirTag battery twice with no issues). Love this and recommend to any dog parent for peace of mind!
